Beautiful location, but off the beaten track which made it difficult to find. Beautiful old house, with fabulous old furniture, but modern facilities, including a good shower. Very friendly staff (although there only seemed to be one!!) Good food. Good location for stopover to go to Bilbao port the following day.

well we're made very welcome and special! just one night stop before bilbao ferry to the uk ! We had a large room with comfortable chairs and table, lovely views, walk in shower, amazing selection of toiletries. The breakfast was continental with a great selection of high quality products, probably organic and i would guess locally sourced! Well worth a stay here.

“Great building”

Beautifully restored old building from the 16th century on the countryside. Francisco was a great host. Rooms are nice with a big bathroom. Breakfast was excellent with natural and home made food. Bilbao is only 30min drive, so it's a good spot to explore the surroundings.

Amazing view on the field and the mountains. Great house to stay in. Breakfast and diner is a 10/10. Really kind and lovely hosts who know a lot about the area. Good value for money.

“After a 3 day stay on the northern coast, we enjoyed the tranquillity of Caserio Iruaritz.”

The dinners on both nights were good. After the delicious starter, there is a choice of either fish or meat and a selection of desserts to follow. The only wine was a Rioja -very good!-and seemingly unlimited!! Coffee to follow. We are not big fish eaters but enjoyed both the meat selections (pork loin and entrecôte). The property is beautifully furnished with numerous antiques, in a really tranquil setting and with easy access to Bilbao, Vitoria-Gasteiz, Laguardia, Haro, etc. The room was very spacious, a great shower, small seating area and very quiet. The owner even fitted blackout blinds every night to the windows. Excellent continental breakfast (nothing hot).

Beautiful renovated house with classical elements. It looks amazing. Very friendly host who helped us with every question we had. The Caserio is located a few kilometers outside Amurrio from where a train to downtown Bilbao leaves twice per hour. Great place to stay for a very reasonable price per night.

Awesome location, super friendly staff and great service, overall a memorable experience. Highly recommended.
