Very convenient location,next to shop, close to beach or city if your catching boat trip. Vibe and people were awesome and Ned with his wife are top tier hosts. We felt we are ON the island, not just visiting it from ivory tower.

Everything is great about this place. The owners are lovely, Ned is super helpful and was a constant support during our stay. He got us a car on the day, when car options were limited and the island had a fuel shortage. The lodgings were cleaned daily - fresh shower curtains and bathroom mats, bed linen and bath towels. Filtered water and fruit are replenished daily and are free. Rooms are pretty sound proof too. Loved the location, its right next to a small store and tina and co's are a 12min walk away. 4 min walk to beach. I highly recommend this place.

Very welcoming owners with airport pick up and generous fresh fruit every day. Great washing and drying facilities. Kitchen well organized for sharing. 2 big fridges. Greta and Ned very helpful to organize hire car etc and pleasant hosts. Ned’s boat trip to the lagoon was excellent.

The place was comfortable, safe, and perfectly located close to the beach and local shops. Greta’s hospitality was absolutely amazing — she is a wonderful person, and they were incredibly kind and welcoming to us. We had a great stay and would definitely recommend it!

“One of the best Hostel style accommodations we‘ve ever stayed at”

We had a great time here from start to finish! Greta, Ned and Toya go above and beyond for their guests! They pick you up at the airport with flower leis, give you information and tips on where to go and what to see, they have scooters for rent and Ned also offers a Lagoon Tour which was amazing and lots of fun. The whole place is very clean and well equipped! You can see and feel that they put a lot of effort and love into this! Plus, the location is great! Couldn‘t ask for more! Hospitality at its best! Highly recommend!!!

Greta & Ned are really nice host! They organized a great boat trip for us. The place is clean and they serve fruit everyday for free. Wifi is fast, and also you can use the washing machine. We will come back in whale season! Thank you Ned & Greta! Have a nice holiday

The accommodation is very clean and nicely decorated. We loved the linen on the bed (very islands). The bed was very confortable (the best so far in the Cook Islands). We were welcomed by Ned, the owner, at the airport with a Lei (necklace of flowers) which was such a nice gesture. We loved it and it smelled so good. The kitchen has everything you need to cook and is very clean. The wifi is incredibly fast, we were surprised by it! The bathrooms are very clean and the nice thing is that there are lots of hooks to hang your clothes/toiletries and shelves (not the case everywhere), super convenient. The location is perfect, shops for groceries are at a walking distance. It's easy to rent a scooter as well. Greta (the other owner) was super nice as well and very welcoming. Greta and Ned are very helpful with lots of recommendations. We loved staying there and we would love to come back (hopefully in the near future!).

Our room was large and bed very comfortable. Extra blankets if required. Shared bathroom facilities and kitchen. Kitchen has 2 large fridge freezers with loads of room for supplies. Everything you need in kitchen for cooking and lovely fresh fruit provided daily. The areas are cleaned daily. Ned and Greta the owners are extremely helpful and knowledgeable and they have created a wonderful facility with a very friendly welcoming vibe.

Aitutaki budget accommodation is an awesome place to stay.Owners Greta and Ned welcome you like family.Rooms are large ,airy and spotlessly clean.Kitchen has everything you need to self cater.Its really home away from home.Fresh island fruit is provided each morning. There are plenty of eating establishments and grocery stores in walking distance. There are scooters to rent and Ned runs Lagoon and Whale tours at very competitive prices. We highly recommend staying here,such a lovely relaxed vibe.

I had a large comfortable room. The facilities were simple but clean. Fresh fruit available on the table daily. A washing machine & line facilities available. Nice to meet other travellers. Great location with shop nearby.

“Fantastic location with fantastic hosts”

My stay at Aitutaki Budget Accommodation was great. Ned and Greta are awesome hosts. I would definitely recommend going on Ned's lagoon tour - he takes you to all the best spots before all the main tours so it is very quiet and he gives great info about the area. You can use the bikes at the accommodation too. They also pick you up and drop you off at the airport. I couldn't recommend this accommodation enough and will definitely be returning! :)

Review for Ned We chose Aitutaki Budget Accommodation based on the glowing reviews and it absolutely lived up to the hype. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth. Ned met us at the airport with a smile and even offered a lift to another traveller who had planned to walk to her accommodation. That small act of kindness says everything about Ned and Greta. They’re truly the heart of this place, and honestly, that kindness runs throughout the entire island. The accommodation itself was clean, tidy and full of good energy. We had free Wi-Fi, complimentary fresh fruit and drinking water every day, and it genuinely felt like we were guests in their home. Ned gave us great insights into the island, helped us get settled and even stayed in touch via text during our stay to check in and see if we needed anything. The day we left, Greta drove us to the airport and sat with us for a coffee until our flight was ready to board. It felt like saying goodbye to family. We also connected with the other guests during our stay and learned so much about Aitutaki through those conversations. If you’re visiting Aitutaki and want a beautiful, local, down-to-earth experience in a central location (right on the island’s main road), this is the place. And bonus—Ned also runs lagoon tours, so you’re in very good hands if you want to explore. Highly recommend staying here. It’s more than just accommodation. It’s connection.
