Great hotel in easy reach of public transport, easy walking distance to food, shopping and sightseeing

“Comfortable and well located”

The hotel is well located with easy access to public transport. Restaurants, shops, Vondelpark are all within easy walking distance. Check in and check out is a self service and very easy. The rooms are large and comfortable and have a coffee machine which is always a bonus for me.

“Bad policy”

I found the check-in policy rather inelegant. I arrived at 1:00 p.m. and was told that my room was already ready, but that I would have to pay an extra €15 to access it two hours before the official check-in time. It is not about the amount itself, but the principle: I found this approach rather petty, especially considering that the room was already available. Furthermore, with check-in at 3:00 p.m. and a strict check-out at 11:00 a.m., the actual time you can enjoy the room is already quite limited. For a property that presents itself as elegant, I would have expected a greater focus on hospitality and more flexibility towards guests

“disappointing experience”

The room was very noisy: I could clearly hear the TV from the room next door. As a result, I barely slept, which I find unacceptable. Check-out is already at 11:00 a.m., and if you want to stay even one extra hour, you have to pay an additional fee. Regardless of the amount, I find this approach rather cheap. It would be more honest to charge a slightly higher room rate upfront instead of adding extra fees for everything. Finally, the bath towels were very small, old, and frayed. A real disappointment. Overall, a disappointing experience.

The room was extremely comfortable and clean

I am basing my rating comparing my options at booking time. It was the cheapest option that's relatively close to the city but also easy to get from the airport. All things considered, the hotel was nice, check in and check out was easily done at self check desks, the staff is friendly if you reach out, towels were clean every day and it was enough room for 3 people. I would book this hotel again if I had to choose again.

Easy check in / check out, can store luggages before and after in a dedicated room free of charge, tram line literally in front of the hotel, close metro to get to the stadium, staff was friendly

I had a pleasant stay overall. The room was spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The bathroom was also quite large and very clean. The hotel is conveniently located, with a tram stop right outside the entrance. From there, it only takes about 5–10 minutes to reach the city center, making it very convenient for sightseeing and getting around Amsterdam. The check-in process was generally straightforward, as it is handled through a self-service terminal.
