Overview
This backpackers hostel is located directly next to famous Vondelpark, just an 8-minute walk from Leidseplein. The Flying Pig Uptown features a 24-hour front desk and a bar. Most of the dormitory rooms come with bunk beds and shared shower and toilet facilities. Some rooms have an en suite bathroom. There is a breakfast buffet available each morning at The Flying Pig. You can enjoy a drink in the hostel’s bar, which also has a smoking room. There is a wide variety of cafes and restaurants in the direct surroundings. Museumplein is a 5-minute walk from The Flying Pig. From the tram stop there you have direct links to the Canal Belt, Rembrandtplein, Dam Square and Amsterdam Central Station.

It’s so close to the museum district… and a walking fistance to centraal.. the staff are so kind and there is a beautiful bar space that you can hangout + kitchen if you want to store/ warm your food.

Good beds very comfy pillows. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good amount of space in lockers. Room size was good. Clean enough in rooms. Key access easy enough. Location good next to vondelpark.

“Great little care-free fun stay”
Exactly what a hostel should be. Fun, friendly and clean enough. I stayed here 8 years ago and came back at the weekend to find it has been freshened up but still have the same vibe as all those years ago. I am 35 now so hostels aren't really for me anymore but Flying Pig stepped up to the mark as I needed quick accomodation for a couple of nights. Considering I would prefer privacy and maybe something more up-market nowadays, I was happy with my stay and would do it again under the same circumstances. Shout out to the awesome staff who were very friendly and helpful. If I was early 20s again I would be here several times a year.

“Awful stay”
