Our weekend stay on a charming houseboat in Amsterdam was nothing short of magical. The first thing that caught our eyes was the breathtaking view from the houseboat. Stepping inside, we were pleasantly surprised by the cozy and well-appointed interior. The houseboat was tastefully decorated, blending modern comforts with a nautical charm. The highlight was the large window that offered an uninterrupted view of the bridges– a mesmerizing backdrop that added to the overall charm of our stay. One delightful touch was the fully-equipped kitchen, complete with a top-notch coffee machine. Brewing a fresh cup of coffee in the morning and sipping it by the window, watching the city come to life, became a cherished ritual. Additionally, finding a selection of chilled beers in the fridge was a thoughtful gesture that made us feel instantly at home. The location of the houseboat was perfect – close enough to the city's vibrant attractions yet secluded enough to provide a peaceful retreat. Exploring Amsterdam by foot or bicycle, with the houseboat as our base, was a delightful experience. Our host Wim was nice, providing helpful tips and recommendations for local eateries and hidden gems. In conclusion, our weekend on the Amsterdam houseboat was great.
