What an absolute gem of a hotel. From the extremely friendly staff, very clean room and great location. I would be very happy to recommend the hotel to anyone that asks and would stay there again. The lobby and elevator were spotless everyday and when we got back from a long day the room was perfect and we got great night sleeps.

Perfect for few days, great location close to Jordaan and city center. Easy to get everywhere by tram. Breakfast was included and it was nice start of a day. Cleaning every day. I would stay here again.

“Great time at hotel Larende”

Location close to the city center, very kind stuff, good breakfast (great croissants, very good coffee), very clean room, nice balcony.

The staff, especially the cleaning lady was great. Location is good, you can reach many places via tram nearby. The street is good with alternatives to eat and drink. You can keep the room with extra charge up to 2 hours. Rooms, towels and beddings are very clean. Huge storage options in the room. The size of the room and the size of the bed are both good.

I booked this hotel right before arrival, and it was one of the most affordable options available at the time. The price was around €200 per night, which is quite high for such a small room and level of comfort, but there were no better alternatives for those dates. The hotel itself is small and a bit old-fashioned, but the staff were very friendly, there is an elevator, everything was clean, housekeeping was done daily, and breakfast was included.

Although I turned up late for breakfast, the staff still provided breakfast.

When I checked into a room on the second floor of the hotel, there was a strong smell of paint, to which I am severely allergic. There was no information anywhere that the hotel had recently undergone cosmetic repairs. I informed the staff member about my allergies, and he offered to show me two other rooms on the same floor, which had the same strong smell. The smell was throughout the entire floor and in the corridor. The staff member then said that the hotel would cancel everything and refund the full cost. I had to leave and spend two hours on the road feeling unwell. I did not receive any information about the cancellation, so I wrote to the hotel myself and asked why. They replied that they could not do this, that I had to do it myself. I then replied that the hotel employee had told me otherwise. I then received a reply from this employee, who wrote that I had spent more than an hour in the room and the hotel would not refund my money. But it's difficult to spend an hour in a room where it's hard to breathe. Further messaging yielded no results. Be careful! At this hotel, guest safety is the last priority.

We loved the location of the property. On the whole, staff were exceptionally friendly and went above and beyond for us. We’d definitely stay again. The location was perfect for us. Just out of the main hustle but close enough to walk to attractions, restaurants and coffee shops. Great transport links also close by. Beautiful view of the street from our balcony (see pics)
