“It was fabulous and I will definitely be back”

The staff were fabulous from the moment I arrived. My room was overlooking the waterfront which I could see from my bed. The bed was so comfortable, I had a great nights sleep. The room was just beautiful, and the bathroom was stunning. It was the perfect place was a relaxing stay.

Calm but has of everything

“Althouigh slightly out of the way, we would certainly stay here again.”

This was our first stay at the Hotel Jakarta. We chose this hotel because it was out of the downtown area, but still easily accessable. There was no biy-city noise to worry about. We mostly walked into the centre of Amsterdam in the mornings, then called for an Uber on the return. FYI - an Uber to the hotel from anywhere downtown is 10 Euros. As soon as we entered the hotel we were greeted by friendly and very helpfull staff. Our English only language was not at all an issue. Security was very good as a room key is needed to access elevators, stairs and your room. We liked that the entire hotel is built (as much as possible) with sustainable material. Even the room key is made of wood. The includded breakfast is much more than we expected, catering to many cultures. All the staff at breakfast were very friendly and made us feel welcome. We did not know immediately, but when asked, the chef cooking breakfast will make you anything to order; from omelettes to poached eggs. The chef is busy so it might take a few mniutes for something made-to-order, but it was always good. We encountered several days of rain when leaving the hotel. Umbrellas are offered at the exit door for customers to use.

The location was good, and the food very nice. Although for our two night stay the pudding on the menu that I choose was not available (chocolate Desert).

Thought our cruise was leaving from close by but it was moved not the hotel’s problem

Great room overlooking the river with a lovely balcony that got the sun all afternoon. Breakfast was excellent but the evening menu could do with a revamp.

“Super hotel for an unforgettable stay”

Great hotel, large, clean and comfortable rooms (the bathroom is great), excellent breakfast, kind and efficient staff. You can easily reach the city center bu bus or tram. There is a spa (bring your costume!) ans a nice bar on the top floor. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, but had a drink on the terrace and tea at the bakery. Utterly in love with this hotel!

“A city vacation”

A spacious room with a beautiful view and a balcony. The hotel has a stylish design and a quiet atmosphere, away from the noise and bustle of the city. There are bus and tram stops near the hotel, providing convenient transportation to the central station. We really enjoyed the rooftop and main restaurant bars. The cocktails were delicious, and the service was excellent. The view from the rooftop bar was especially impressive.

Extraordinary hotel with river view and great wellness opportunities. Close to the central station and still not a noisy area around. Absolute recommendation.

Tasty breakfast, with lots of delicious plates to choose from. Egg menu it’s a plus. You can get there by direct bus from Amsterdam Centraal. Clean rooms.
