There's a lot to love about this place. From the friendly and helpful hosts, the handy location for the station (don't be put off by it being on the Damrak, you are two floors up from the notorious tourist street), to the super clean, comfortable and well-stocked modern apartment. We had everything we needed here, and just a few streets away from Damrak there are plenty of quieter bars and restaurants around this neighbourhood if you need. We stayed 11 nights in Apartment 3, which was a good size for 3 or 4 people. We were here during Amsterdam's huge Sail festival one weekend and the Formula 1 weekend the next, so it was peak season and it wasn't going to be cheap, but it's a fair price for where it is. Ultimately it was a very decent stay. Thanks so much to host who were friendly and helpful.

Great location, very friendly helpful staff, easy to contact them, ensuite for each bedroom, ventilation and heating very good for the changeable weather. Dishwasher and washing machine very handy.

Conveniently located in the city centre. Less than 10mins from the Central Station and shops. Private access to the apartment. Soundproofing walls so outside noise and from the bar below was significantly reduced. Located opposite the canal cruises.

Spacious flat with a most perfect location. Quiet and comfortable despite being so close to the high street. Hans and his colleagues are super friendly and helpful. My family spent 10 days in the flat and they are always there to help.

A comfy apartment, spacious with all the necessary amenities, Hans was our Dutch host, very nice and receptive to our request.We had a lot of trips and the weather was fine.The location was central, very good for walk, too

Tl:dr: Photos on Booking / Expedia / Hotels are misleading (or 5 years out of date). Awful property condition. Visible mold in bathroom vents. Furniture has cigarette burns. Dirty dishes in the kitchen. Wet outside stairs are deadly. And a rodent problem (traps hidden in the apartment). Pros: If you’re coming for a lad/lass drinking trip to central with all your mates this place is for you. You’ll think the location is great and you can go get smashed.

Exceptional location. Hans was amazing and very attentive to anything needed. Apartment perfect set up, very clean. Don't look past this location. It's amazing, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Amsterdam. Well equipped for all group types.

The location is excellent. Mr. Hans and the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Lou Lou's restaurant, which is part of Damrak Short Stay and in the same building of the apartment, was an amazing place with an equally amazing team. Hans and the restaurant staff (Mainly Mr Micky) made our stay exceptionally special and joyful. Their helpfulness and friendliness truly stood out. VERY MUCH RECOMENDED. One more thing worth to add is that the team did not hesitate helping us with carrying the luggage to and from the apartment

“Great location, friendly & responsive staff, roomy & updated accomodations in AMS, would stay again!”

I traveled with my elderly mother (75+), my husband, my sister and her husband and two toddlers. We rented two apartments, on two seperate floors. The stairs were initially daunting for my mother (and strollers) but the staff was exceptional (Thank you Hans!!), incredibly accomodating and were very keen on helping us with luggage and if something was needed in the apartments. Inside and outside stairs to reach the ground. Beds were comfortable, rooms w/space for luggage, washer/dryer and dishwasher were very handy. We are Dutch thus did not request additional help w/ transport or recommendations but the apartments are in a prime location (no street noise w/ windows closed), walkable to Central Station and there's a taxi cab/ride share stop off right across the street. The kitchens were fairly stocked and the toddlers had ample room to play. There were other families and singles staying there. We also ate at the restaurant one night and had a great meal. I would definitely recommend this site for anyone that is looking for easy in to the city and sights.
