We stayed at this homestay due to positive reviews i read about it and closeness to the golden temple. We are happy to say the stay was very comfortable. Mr. Anoop is amazing host and made us feel at home with his friendly nature. He also helped us by arranging with local transport. The room was very clean, homely and very comfortable. Best part it is just 10 steps from the golden temple. The view from the homestay terrace is amazing.

Fantastic location and very clean room and bathroom. You can see the golden temple from the rooftop and walk there in 5 minutes. Anoop was very helpful in booking taxis and his wife is an excellent chef. 10/10 would recommend! Just as a warning, not all cars can get into the heritage area so you may need to get an electric tuk tuk but Anoop can sort you out if you message him!

Stayed here for 2 nights. The owner was genuinely friendly and helpful, organising our tour and a rickshaw to the train, which made things easy. The view from the rooftop overlooking the Golden Temple is a real highlight. That said, there were a few issues. The mattress was easily the worst we’ve had in 6 months of travelling — honestly felt like the floor might have been softer. We were also caught off guard when the owner got quite upset with us for ordering a non-veg meal. We didn’t realise it wasn’t allowed, as it was only mentioned on a veg menu provided. The room itself was quite small, and there was no water or kettle supplied, which would have been appreciated. Overall, a mixed stay — great hospitality and location, but a few comfort and communication issues that could be improved.

The location couldn’t be better—you’re just a short walk from the Golden Temple, making early morning or late-night visits effortless and peaceful. What really sets this place apart, though, are the owners. The gentleman who runs the hotel and his wife are some of the warmest, kindest hosts you’ll ever meet. They go out of their way to make you feel at home, and their hospitality is genuine in every sense. Whether it’s guidance, comfort, or small thoughtful gestures, they’re always ready to help with a smile. The rooms are an ideal size—clean, comfortable, and perfectly suited for a relaxing stay. Facilities are spot on, offering everything you need without any hassle. It’s the kind of place where you can simply focus on your visit, knowing your accommodation is completely taken care of. There is food available but I did not have this option simply because I wanted to explore. But there were many who did and certainly looked happy. There’s genuinely nowhere better to stay if you’re after peace, convenience, and heartwarming hospitality. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Amritsar, especially those wanting a serene stay just steps away from the Harmandir Sahib.

The location is excellent. You can go to the golden temple with just 4-5 steps. E rickshaws are available there too for visiting other places. The Owner of the homestay is a good person with helpful behaviour. Lift is there for senior citizens. Room heater also available with extra charges Rs 400/- ( from 10 pm to 8 am)

The Homestay Contacted me via booking.com to ask if I would pay in advance into their account. As I am traveling I did not have the ability to do this but they said it wasn’t a problem I could pay there. The Homestay are Very friendly family owners. They Organised good Tuk tuk pick up from train station. As it is winter the Homestay didn’t have many guests the owner allowed us to pick our room. It was peaceful when we stayed however I imagine if it full then it could be a bit noisy as the lift going up & down has music & the rooms echo due to how the house is built. The rooms are modern-ish. Have Indian TV, lots of hot water (which is unusual) a good size, kettle. and are relatively clean. Can pay extra to have the aircon on as heating in winter. The view of golden temple from roof is very nice, but it’s on a staircase it’s not somewhere you can sit out. Location is great & feels safe & is quiet at night. I really liked the owner, very friendly and the business seems to be well run, I feel bad for writing the negatives below but they are things that you may want to consider if staying here.

I had an amazing stay at 4N homestay. A perfect oasis of peace adjacent to the golden temple. You can see the golden temple from the rooftop terrace. It is only a few steps from the golden temple and a walkable distance to all the tourist attractions. The room was clean and modern too. The hosts are very welcoming and hospitable and made my stay feel like a home away from home. The homemade food is fantastic, the best kulcha I have ever had. Thank you so much, I will be returning when I am in Amritsar again.

Spent 24 hours in Amritsar, and what an experience! The city is steeped in culture, devotional vibes, and rich history. But what truly made my stay unforgettable was Chabra's 4N Homestay. Just 30 steps from the entry gate, this nB offers an unbeatable view that's so mesmerizing, you'll ditch your room (for which you actually paid to soak it all in!
