“Friendly helpful owner, hotel itself not of good standard”
When we arrived, the hotel did not know we were coming — the owner was away. However we were given our rooms. Once the owner arrived, he was friendly and helpful, took us on two nice trips, for no charge. The a/c worked well. The hotel was conveniently close to the main street of Ampara. There is a restaurant adjoining the hotel — food was varied and good, the breakfast was excellent.
