A family run hotel that is clean and friendly in a good location

The host Yanis was super friendly and informative, he even gave us some homemade wine, which was ver good and a small bottle of Olive oil to take away. The upper terrace was really nice, and they supplied beach towels

Excellent location in the center od Amoudara village, 15 min. from hotel to the to Heraklion, 30. min to Knossos.

The owner is very helpful and polite. Always greeting you with a smile. The staff is cleaning the room everyday. The AC in the room is spot on. Very close from the bus station and the beach.

The location is close to the beach. The staff is friendly. They have all the necessary amenities for a beach holiday and swimming.

I had a pleasant stay here in mid-September 2025. The host was exceptionally kind and always accessible — cheerful, helpful, and welcoming throughout my stay. He allowed me to check in a bit earlier and even arranged a taxi for my return to the airport, which I truly appreciated. About the property: It is conveniently accessible by bus or taxi, just a few minutes’ walk from the nearest bus stop. Although my room didn’t have a sea view, the beach was only a short walk away. The host paid attention to small but thoughtful details — such as providing beach towels and a plastic basin for washing clothes. There is also a lovely rooftop common area, perfect for relaxing. About the room: It was well equipped with a refrigerator, air conditioning, and cupboards. The bathroom in my single room was a bit small and average, which would be the only minor downside. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay and excellent value for money.

WHAT I LIKED: The owner tried to scam me, so unfortunately I can't say I enjoyed my stay at the hotel La Santre Villa. But the hotel is definitely not far from the beach, about a 10-minute walk. WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE - MY CONTINUATION: Unfortunately, because of this, I had to wake up no later than 9:30 AM every day because the cleaning lady couldn't wait, and by 10:00 AM she was sitting on the stairs outside my room, waiting for me to leave. While she was waintin, she was smacking her lips ironically as she told me she had to wait! It's simply outrageous! So, please, think twice before you decide to stay in this hotel!

“Great value for money”

The owner was very polite and helpful, location was also great, being about 5 minutes on foot from the beach and with direct city bus transport to the airport and city center. Our room had pretty much everything we needed, but we were mostly eating out.

Very friendly host Yanis! Good apartment, nice bed. Everything was great. Towles for the beach are for free available and a great terras at the topfloor with beds seats etc. Great restaurants around the corner and very nice beach. I really liked the extras (that was a nice surprise) and ofcourse the hospitality! Efcharistó Yanis!

It is very close to the beach and also to the bus station that will directly take you to the town center

Great position being 5 minute walk to the beaches and the bus stop. A quiet place where you feel at home away from home thanks to then welcoming and always helpful owner.

Giannis is been incredibly welcoming, the location is perfect, they cleaned our room everyday and the place was very cozy. Our experience was incredible and I'm grateful to have met Giannis (the owner) a fantastic person that always helped us with everything we needed and he recommended us some great place to eat and to visit. The hosts' reception was warm and they were kindly eager to provide for every demand, the hotel was small, clean, comfortable and nicely decorated, creating a homely atmosphere. The beach is very close, the necessary supplementary equipment offered by the establishment, there are shops, restaurants and bars around and there is a regular bus correspondance for the city center, as well as taxis. The supplementary surprise was the roof arranged as cozy living-room, from where one could enjoy the quiet summer night under the starry sky and with a beautiful view.
