“Just amazing”

I had a great stay at Castle Star Hotel and ended up extending my stay because I enjoyed it so much. The rooms had enough space and even with six beds in the room, there was plenty of personal storage space for everyone. The toilets and showers were always clean and there were enough facilities for the guests. The highlight of this place is definitely the view over the city as well as the host Mohammed. He is an exceptionally kind, generous, and caring person who genuinely wants every guest to feel comfortable and welcome. He is always willing to help, approachable, and creates a friendly atmosphere that makes it easy to feel at home. His generosity and consideration for travelers, especially backpackers, really stand out and make the experience special.

The Accomodation is nice, they gave us a room upgrade that was really nice and the best thing I need a driver and we got a recommendation from them and had the chance to meet an amazing person — Wael 🙏 He was recommended to us as a driver, but he became much more than that — our guide throughout the entire trip. He picked us up from the airport, took us everywhere we wanted to go, waited for us, and helped us discover incredible places. He is kind, honest, always on time, and speaks good English, which made everything so easy and stress-free. “Perfect place for a short stay”

Location was really good, just next to both Downton and Citadel. Nice terrace and straight view to Roman Theater. Good bed. Really friendly staff.

“Amazing”

Everything! The staffs are so caring to their guests! They make sure each of us comfortable staying with them. The balcony view is spectacular, please hang out at the balcony during the sunset time, you will love it! One thing that I really appreciate and thank for is when I left my passport at the lobby, it was an hour before my boarding time, I asked the staff to order a taxi and send my passport to the airport! I am so thankful how they are very helpful and kind and considerate helping me with my situation! I owe you a lot guys!

Every thing is perfect

“Awesome stay.”

This hostel has to be the best in Amman! The room itself was clean and the heater kept it comfortable. There are lockers and a privacy curtain on each bed. Probably the best part of this hostel is the outdoor seating area beside the kitchen with an amazing view. Overall I would happily stay there again and it was cheap. I also liked the little yellow bird but he was lonely 😔

The location was very nice, but the staff was not. We tried to contact them multiple times and never got a response. The room was dirty, and the bathroom was full of mold.

“Great experience and wonderful people”

We had a very pleasant stay at this hostel with a very nice host and staff. Everything was just wonderful and I highly recommend it to everyone who visit Amman.

We were visiting in December. We had an incredible view from the window, just for the Roman Theatre. Everything was very close. We could park the car in front of the property. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We didn’t use the kitchen, so it’s difficult to say anything about the facilities there. We slept well thanks to the curtains. Room had a teas, coffee, bottled water, sugar and kettle, which we enjoyed very much.

Location and views from the room

Very good stay at Castle Star Hostel. It is located just opposite the Citadel, so the location is excellent. The hostel has a nice kitchen where you can easily make coffee and breakfast. The staff were very helpful and gave good travel advice, and they also arranged my airport taxi at a much cheaper price. It’s close to downtown Amman, which feels more local and authentic. Food around the area is very good and affordable, unlike Rainbow Street which is crowded with tourists and much more expensive. Overall, a comfortable, well-located hostel with great value for money.

Staff were so welcoming, location was great! A few minutes walk to downtown with great views of the city!

Nice view and comfortable bed

The Castle is very near city center(few mins walking) and right near the Citadel wall. The room had a great view over The Roman Theatre and over a big part of the city. There are curtains and sockets for each bed. The 6 beds dormitory for women was quite big and there were lockers and clothes nails. Comfortable mattress, thick cover and a big fat pillow right to my taste...first night was a bit cold so the cover was useful. The living room is a bit small though, but with a lot of books and very nice wall paintings. There is also a big terrace with a singing canary, aloe flowers and a great view over the city. There is a water filter, many kind of teas and coffee for guests! But the best part of this property are the people! The most kind, attentive at your needs and helpful staff I ever meet in over 25 countries! Mohammad, the owner, even joined me in the city to find a restaurant and another time, a spice shop or a walking tour guide from another hotel, or a bus to Petra, or a car for the Dead Sea! Thank you again for being so warm and human! With people like you, world would be a better place to live!

“Felt like Home”

Best hostel I’ve stayed at. The staff truly made it feel like home. I’d like to share a small incident that really touched me—after returning from a long trip, I came back to rebook my stay. As soon as the staff member saw me, instead of talking about booking, he first invited me to eat and said he had cooked butter chicken. This kind of genuine care is very rare and meant a lot to me. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Amman—please stay here if you get the chance. Just one small suggestion: the kitchen could be kept a bit cleaner. Overall, a wonderful experience.
