Overview
Situated overlooking the calm waters of Eastern Cove in scenic American River, the Mercure Kangaroo Island Lodge offers a warm friendly welcome and features an award winning restaurant showcasing local produce, a swimming pool, free WiFi, tennis court, walking trails, wildlife spotting and free Pelican feeding. Each air-conditioned room features exceptional water views or stunning pool views. There is a small fridge, a flat-screen TV, tea and coffee making facilites and a private bathroom. Some rooms also feature a microwave, toaster and Nespresso coffee machine. Take a self-guided nocturnal walk, come to the morning pelican feeding or walk the nature trail located on property grounds. Kangaroo Island Lodge is a 30-minute drive from both the Kingscote Airport and the Ferry Terminal at Penneshaw. Flexible cancellation policy for border closures applies

“Most luxurious place on Kangaroo Island”
I've never seen a hotel room with a bigger bed, a bigger TV, or a bigger mirror. This place is pure luxury, even in the most affordable rooms. It's only about 30min from the ferry but feels very remote and peaceful. We would absolutely stay here again!

The Accomodation good, Meals and dining areas great , good breakfasts. The main younger male customer service person at the desk who helped us with a couple of issues, was good and helpful. I thanked him on our last night. We stayed 3 nights.

Loved the location and the view from the room, it was such a peaceful and relaxing space. The food in the restaurant was great. The staff were amazing, so friendly and attentive.

I received far too many messages on my phone from the motel/company, asking me to click here, etc. I found this utterly intrusive, while I was trying to relax on holiday before arrival. And I would never just click on a link sent to me via WhatsApp, sent in this way. Looks exceedingly unprofessional of you.

“New villas a higher end option on Kangaroo Island”
We stayed in the new villas which were lovely. Beautifully decorated. Great location. Very quiet and relaxing. We ate at the lodge every night as we didn’t want to drive on roads after dark. Good choice between pub meals and fine dining.

“Pleasant stay in a pretty area of Kangaroo Island”
The Restaurant was able to accommodate our late arrival on our first night which we appreciated very much. On our second night we were turned away from the Restaurant as we had not booked. We did eat from the more relaxed pizza/ hamburger bar but we were disappointed as we were staying in house and there seemed to be many tables empty in the main restaurant. I would advise booking table if you are keen to eat at a certain time.

“Great stay”
Great stay, lovely room with a beautiful bay view. The restaurant was amazing! We also really appreciated the complimentary wine, cookies, and crisps, which made our stay feel extra special. It was such a thoughtful touch and a lovely welcome after a long day of travel.

The luxury villa was exactly that, very luxurious. The bedding was very comfortable. The view from the balcony was wonderful. The complimentary items (even though we didn't have the wine) was a a nice touch.
