Set on the banks of the River Magra, Camping River is inside the Montemarcello Nature Reserve. It offers 2 outdoor swimming pools, a restaurant and mini market. You have a choice of bungalows and mobile homes, all with private bathroom with shower and hairdryer. Most of them are equipped with a kitchenette. River Camping has everything you need on site including a children's playground and sports fields. You can also rent bikes. There is a café, pizzeria and a lounge with maxi screen TV. The campsite is 1 km outside the town of Ameglia, surrounded by greenery. It is a few minutes' drive from the Gulf of the Poets and the unspoilt nature of the Cinque Terre. Free parking is provided and the nearest bus stop is a 10-minute walk away. The nearest train station is 8 km away in Sarzana.

Great value for money, good located, family friendly, nice surroundings (nearest beach is just 5 minutes drive away, and a lot of beautiful villages within 15 minutes), staff is really friendly and helpfull. Look better than in pictures, we were really satisfied and camp deserves full recommendation.

It's really close to touristic destinations like Cinque terre, Golfo dei Poeti, Lucca and Pisa. In two weeks we had the opportunity to visit all these places and in the afternoon, finish the day with a nice swim in the pool. We were with an 8 year old son who made some friends and loved the liveliness of the place. Result: we will definitely be back next year.
