The views were absolutely breathtaking. The resto was really good and the staff were absolutely lovely. They were able to help us organise transport and activities. The room was super cosy and clean.

Wow! This place was stunning. The view is so beautiful, overlooking the bay and the boats on the beach. The infinity pool is perfect and the rooms were kind of rustic but clean and functional, with an amazing view (we had a family room which was actually two double rooms with a separate living area in between). The property is on Lean Beach, which is the next bay round from Lipah. It has steps up from the road but it’s too far (probably wouldn’t suit anyone elderly or with young children). You can snorkel straight from Lean Beach and there is a place you can hire snorkelling gear from and book trips about 3 mins walk from the hotel. Other than that, the location feels quite remote. It’s a little fishing community and has a very traditional feel so not many restaurants etc. if you’re happy to just relax somewhere lovely, and eat at the great hotel restaurant, then this place is perfect.

The Balinese food in the inhouse restaurant was execellent, delicious and fresh. The beach below had very good snorkelling and it was not crowded. The staff were attentive and the service was very good. The room was comfortable and the view was stunning. We enjoyed a lot of evenings in, sundowners and snacks by the pool and then dinner upstairs in the restaurant.

The view was outstanding and close enough to see the fisherman take their fishing boats in and out in the early mornings. The staff were exceptional- polite and helpful. Restaurant was great and pool area well looked after.

“What a view!”

What a view! Exceeded my expectations. Restaurant, accommodation and pool area overlooked Lean beach. 1 min walk to beach which was directly across road. Staff friendly and helped organise scooters, taxis etc. The male staff had very good English. Food was very good as was the included breakfast (poached eggs were good not the banana pancakes) A few Warangs near accommodation but if you seek a little more night life you will need a scooter to get into Amed. Accommodation was clean, rustic, tasteful hut - only 2 of these (no hairdryer, or safe) No pictures of these on booking.com. There were a couple of other rooms these are pictured on booking.com.

The best view! The staffs are very kind. It looks a bit far from town but the staff pick me up and drop me off where ever I want to go. Nice breakfast, wifi works well. I want to come back as soon as possible!! Thank you all!!

Great week in Amed at Kalimaja for family of 5. Three teenagers, 13,15 &16. Quite a new establishment and no reviews so we were a bit wary but no need to be. Beautiful infinity pool & rooms overlooking the sea. Few minutes walk to selang or bintang beach. Can walk to a number of restaurants. Like green melon & cafe dodo for a warung type meal or Sails restaurant for international & Indonesian food. We did a boat trip and caught tuna. Chefs at Kalimaja bbq the tuna for us for dinner and did all the accompanying sauces, rice, salad, chips etc was delicious. You can also eat at kalimaja, overlooking the sea-v good food. You can easily hire snorkelling equipment for £50 for a week for 5 people. Costs more if less than a week. There are quite a lot of steps, would be a consideration for those with mobility problems. Staff very helpful organising taxis. 100k seemed to be going rate. Although sometime staff dropped us off and collected us which was much appreciated. Little shop for drinks and snacks a few minute walk turning right out of kalimaja. ATM cash point at 'adi shop' the adi shop is close to a few shops selling clothes & ornaments as well as a more western shop selling rip curl, billabong & quiksilver. It’s 3km away but a cheap easy to find taxi ride away. Did lots of snorkelling. Saw Turtles each time infront of Warung Bobo And great coral at lipah and Jemeluk beaches.
