Ladies who take care of the restaurant were wonderful. Food was simple and good. Infinity pool is a wonderful addition.

We have stayed here multiple times in the past 30 years and Good Karma retains its authenticity for this length of time. The location is within a safe (current-free) bay and live coral and many species of fish, including a cluster of anenome fish (Nemo's). Local fishermen can take you just around the corner to the Japanese shipwreck site.

Every single staff member here is friendly, helpful and professional at their job. Breakfasts served in the restaurant are excellent and free water refills are available. The location right on the beach is amazing - you walk out of your front door to swim or snorkel, and the beachfront pool is very clean. I chose a traditional bungalow, which was fantastic. However, it was very hot while I was there, and the big shady tree at the front had been trimmed off so my room was uncomfortably hot some of the time. If you need air-con, choose the villas.

Love the spacious bungalow, good aircon, had everything we needed for a happy stay. Great restaurant with yummy Indo/Balinese food and Japanese food, great pool, friendly and helpful staff, location is a few kms out of central Amed, so more chilled out, but still plenty to do nearby within a short moto ride. Excellent snorkelling straight off the beach!

being so in touch with nature, the bungalows are right on the beach, staff make you feel very comfortable and are lovely, the food is delicious and wifi is great I use it for study meetings.

“Paradise Found”

I'm still here! Two more blissful nights. I want to say a huge thank you to the person who wrote in an earlier review "...like Bali used to be". That and the (completely accurate) photos were enough to convince me. I have been here four nights so far. She/he will likely never read my thanks but believe me they are from the bottom of my heart. This is just what I have wanted after travelling 7 countries un 75 days.* Food is scrumptious and very reasonably priced (the Teryaki Tuna was so good I'll have it again tonight; the gyoza too) with a very wide range including Japanese. Breakfast was good too (try the black rice porridge, the pineapple pancakes and the mixed fruit juice). Perfect pool and loungers, a small library in various languages (as I writer this is always a plus point for me). The super-friendly staff have gone out of their way to make me feel very special and my visit valuable. Wayan and his motorbike really went out of his way to get me the 5 klms or so in and out of Amed. He even brought (wet) money when I wanted to make a purchase at the little Elvara *recommebded) perfume shop in Amed but had run out of money. He got soaked in the downpour and so did I on the return trip. Lovely tropical rain. Great fun. I booked the smallest bungalow and spent a lot of time on the raised entrance - enormous bamboo chairs and tables, and places for massage: see Made and her mother - just reading, taking notes, looking at the sea, and listening to the gentle Balinese conversations and laughter around me. Superb location

We had a wonderful stay at Good Karma Bungalows. The location right next to the sea is fantastic, with a beautiful coral reef just in front, perfect for snorkeling. The bungalows are very spacious and comfortable, set in a peaceful environment. The pool area is also lovely and great for relaxing. The staff were extremely kind and welcoming, and the restaurant is excellent with very tasty food. A great place to relax and enjoy the sea.

Absolutely love the location. Waking up to the beach right there and pool out front was so special. Restaurant was really cute too!

Good Karma was the perfect place for a reset after the bustle of Ubud. It allowed me to rejuvenate & relax deeply. I particularly loved that each morning I could rise & walk out to the sea from my hut & have my feet in the waters as I gently woke up. The breakfast was super delicious & the hot water on your porch every morning is a sweet touch. The bay is on a very special coral reef so lots of snorkelling & being mesmerised. This is a wonderful place to stay.

We always book Good Karma when we go to Amed. It’s right next to the beach, and you can snorkel right in front of your house. The accommodation has a nice atmosphere, a good breakfast, and cozy, clean houses. And the staff is kind. We always love it here.

Spectacular outlook. Great staff. Surrounded by local fishing village life. Far enough South of the busy centre of Amed to feel relaxed. Great restaurant on site and others within walking distance also. Good sized pool and spectacular views. Massages on the verandah, snorkelling, fishing or sight seeing by boat available. Reasonably close to some lovely tourist attractions. But mostly it’s a place to stop, look, listen and relax.
