Such a lovely family. Very kind and nice breakfast with a view on the beach. The room was comfortable and nice. The father of the family gave us tips what to do as well and helped us with getting a taxi. Loved it here! We would come back for sure!

“Amazing location and people!”

It was right on the beach and the room was extremely clean and comfortable. The family who owns and runs Bubu Racok are so warm, friendly and helpful. There is an included breakfast every morning, which is delicious. It is in a great location, close to a supermarket and excellent warungs and cafes.

They are very polite and kind

Our room and ensuite were very large and spacious with a comfortable bed, a hot shower, effective aircon and a minifridge. We also had a good sized private terrace with table and chairs looking out onto the beach. Wayan and his family were so kind and helpful - they arranged a sea fishing trip, a snorkelling trip, scooter rent, laundry and an airport transfer for us. The breakfast was delicious (omelette or banana pancake, a plate of fresh fruit and a fruit smoothie) and the family also cooked us two dinners of freshly caught fish, one of which was our catch. There are several sunbeds looking onto the beach from which you can watch the world go by (and the bats in the evening). The property is within 5mins walk of lots of restaurants and bars and a very well stocked supermarket and within about 10mins walk of a gym and more eating and drinking places. However, it was also very quiet and peaceful, especially at night. Wayan and his family are also very happy to tell you about any part of Balinese culture that you're interested in.

“A beachside relax with the nicest hosts.”

Wayan and his family were great hosts, with good English (which is quite rare in Bali from my experience). But above all, willing to help with anything and Kadek preparing the yummy meals!

This homestay is run by a warm and welcoming family who truly make you feel at home. It’s a calm and relaxing place on the beach, close to restaurants and shops. The owner is a genuine Hindu with a deep understanding of Balinese Hindu culture. He shares fascinating stories and inspiring insights that really enrich your stay. Highly recommended!

“Cozy vibes and amazing staff”

This was the best stay I had in Indonesia so far! First of all the staff was amazing. The owners are so nice while I gave them a hard time by losing stuff, needing to wake them up at night and even switching hotel because I wanted to be closer to my friends. Regretted that decision right away and came back after one night. Sintia is such a sweetheart and made nice breakfast for me at every hour I wish and was bringing me places on the scooter. The room is perfectly clean, there is decent airco and fridge and I felt really at home. The view is amazing and my room was right at the beach.

Was a fantastic location. The owner was super friendly and very helpful. Definitely worth staying.

“A lovely stay!”

I had a lovely stay at Bubu Racok. Only a few metres away from the sea, the room is big with plenty of space to move around. Lovely hosts that made delicious breakfast right on the beach every morning. One of the highlights of this homestay is that we could snorkel right from the beach only metres away from the room. That was absolutely amazing!

Right by the beach and run by an amazing family who will make you feel at home. Peaceful and quiet yet close to restaurants and shops. Highly recommend!

“Perfect rest”

The staff were really friendly and helpful. Every morning a lovely breakfast was served on the beach with the waves gently lapping and in the shade of some beautiful trees. Nothing was too much trouble. When I went in very early morning screens diving I was served a late breakfast on my return. The location is close to great restaurants and bars

“Stay here - fantastic value with the best hosts”

Fantastic location with a lovely family. Do take the opportunity to go on a sunrise walk with Wayan if you can. The room was spotless. You can snorkel directly in front of accommodation. Lots of restaurants near by. Would not consider staying anywhere else in Amed.

The staff were warm and friendly, and the lady who owned the homestay got her husband to run me to the airport. It is a family run homestay, and everyone can not do enough to make sure you are having a good time without being intrusive. I had a flask of water and could ask as often as I liked to have it filled up, which was great as I needed my coffee! The location is amazing on the beach front and close to all the restaurants and shops. The restaurant two doors down is very reasonable, serving fabulous food. Breakfast is good and if you want more you can ask, nothing is too much trouble.

Wonderful if you have the Deluxe Double room with the balcony. Seaview from your bed with soothing sound of waves Hearty breakfast of fruit juice, fresh fruits and banana pamcakes or omelette. Great view of the magnificent Mt Agung from the beach.
