“Beautiful nature but not fit for work online”

The coral reef just in front of the hotel is exceptional!! Sunsets and sunrises are the best as the rooms faces the ocean. So many different types of fish, we saw a turtle and a hunting tuna fish.. The wildlife around is amazing.. The location is close to couple of best restos in Amed. Galanga and one more Sama Warung further down to lipah beach.. Supermarkets are walking distance (7-10 min walk). One 24 store . No Drugstore nearby:( The stuff was always cheerful and helpful. The rooms were clean. They make really yummy fish in the restaurant!! We are gluten free and lactose free and the stuff helped a lot, finding exchange for bread etc..however if you have a special diet, you better feed on your own. The room was cosy ( good mattress, aircon), but there were other problems too. Amazing local Indonesian design of the buildings and rooms. Shampoo, soap , all handy.

One of the most beautiful accommodations in the Amed area, located directly on a beach of volcanic sand and stones. It’s better to have water shoes — they make getting into the sea easier. We managed just fine without them, though 🙂 We stayed outside the main season, so there were very few other guests. The breakfast included in the price was simple but completely sufficient, with several options to choose from. The surroundings were lovely—lots of greenery, trees, and a pool. The grounds were cleaned daily, and the rooms as well; the staff asked every day whether we wanted housekeeping, and if we did, they cleaned the room each day. Right within the Apa Kabar property there was a bar and restaurant offering tasty local dishes and drinks at very reasonable prices. In the nearby area, within walking distance, there are shops, restaurants, and local warungs. The accommodation is located in a quieter part of Amed, but if you prefer livelier areas, you can get there by scooter in about 5 minutes. We walked along the main road instead—it takes about 20–25 minutes, with a bit of uphill walking, but it’s manageable. Definitely a great value for the price.

We had absolutely great time there. The stafg went above and beyond to help us. Next to beach, nice pool, you can rent scooter and snorkeling equopment. And of course the Coffee was Amazing. It was very child friendly - a baby chair at the restaurant and baby bed.

The most beautiful gardens and loved the traditional style villa and the out door shower. The location was lovely and quiet with beautiful views and the snorkeling out the front was the best spot of our trip.

The small resort so all our rooms were nearby. The swimming pool is nice and the view !

We stayed in the beach front room with own pool the room was great every morning while having breakfast at the restaurant our room was magically cleaned all the staff are very welcoming and friendly we hired a scooter through the hotel for exploring and you can organise a jukung for snorkling or fishing from the guys on the beach and there is a new Nmart across the road for all your supplies we would stay again

“Don't waste your money.”

The pictures and previous ratings looked good. However when we got there the villa was filthy. Stains on pillows and sheets. Pillows smelled bad. The bedspreads probably had never been washed. Stains on mattress. Kitchenette was very dirty too. We paid for an upgrade and were given 2 separate rooms with mezzanine floors with mattresses on the floor for 2 children to sleep on. It was about 100 degrees up there with just a fan. They could not sleep up there. The rooms and bedding were just as dirty. So we paid extra for nothing. The pool was dirty with oil scum and bits floating on it. It hadn't been cleaned in a while and no other guests used it either. The staff are all young but pleasant until we decided to leave the day after arriving. My daughter speaks and understands some Balinese and the staff were very rude about us while we stood there. We did not bother speaking to management as a previous review says she's a horror with a bad attitude. We paid over the odds and more for this dump but moved on to a luxury hotel nearby. I would not recommend this place. It's gross, don't waste your money. Minus -10 score

Great location on the (rocky) beach. Wonderful snorkeling right off the beach with excellent coral and even turtles (can rent snorkeling gear on the beach from Candak, and he also does snorkeling/fishing tours). Lovely pool. Dining options were a good price and yummy. Convenience store across the road was very handy, and decent massages next door. Other good dining options a short walk along the beach. Peaceful place to stay. I would like to return.

Really enjoyed our private pool villa. Very good size with an outdoor kitchen. Coffee shop at the reception has amazing coffee. Probably best I’ve had in Bali.
