“Insult and intimidation”
The absent owner couldn't be payed by credit card and wanted to have money wired to a local bankaccount. Impossible: there was no wifi at the place (and no internationally recognizable bank account registration). He then sent a lawyer and two other guys to my door, to threaten and intimidate me. I had to taxi around town to find all ATMs empty (due to the holiday season) except for one, to be able to pay in cash. It was a dirty place, with no cleaning service all week, no bedding or towel replacement, no working tv (due to no wifi), malfunctioning door locks, and again, no wifi. This place was an insult to the usual hospitality of Gambia.
