“Highly recommended for adventure seekers!”

Our stay at Amboseli Cultural Camping near the foothills of Mt Kilimanjaro was absolutely fantastic and far exceeded our expectations. What was meant to be a one-night stay turned into two nights because we simply didn’t want to leave. The views of Kilimanjaro were spectacular, both from the accommodation and during the activities, it was truly breathtaking to wake up to such scenery. One of the highlights was the motorbike safari in the conservancy outside Amboseli Park. Riding through the landscape while seeing so many animals up close was an unforgettable experience, topped off perfectly with an incredible sundowner in the wild. We also did a cultural tour to a Maasai village, which was very informative, and deeply enriching. The hospitality was outstanding; the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely cared about making our stay special. The accommodation was comfortable, clean, and well set within the natural surroundings, adding to the overall experience. I highly recommend Amboseli Cultural Camping to anyone seeking adventure, culture, and stunning views in a truly special location.

“Unforgettable experience”

Our time in Amboseli was absolutely fantastic, The staff were so friendly and kind, always going out of their way to help. They even had a lovely fire going for us each evening. The local food was delicious, and oh man, the view of Kilimanjaro? We couldn't have asked for more. We'd go back in a heartbeat and highly recommend

“3 night stay in a tent”

We were really happy that we stayed 3 nights instead of just making this a stop-over for Amboseli as Brian and his team made this such a special experience. We got delicious breakfast and dinner by Brian every day, who was so kind to accomodate all our wishes. Every night they lit up the fire for us, so that we could warm up before heading to bed and we even had hot water showers the entire time. We really felt taken care of! The motorbike-safari that Brian organized for us was one of the best experiences we had on our trip and waking up and having coffee in front of the Kilimandjaro was just beautiful. We want to thank you again Brian!

“Tranquil place in a remote area, worth the money”

The studio we’ve booked has insane view on the Kilimanjaro if you’re lucky (esp. early in the morning) It is very spacious and full of light Communication with Brian was excellent We also enjoyed the food which was healthy and big enough to satisfy everyone. Compare to other places we’ve stayed in, this was above the standard Game drive to the NP Amboseli was worth it, you’ll see mostly a lot of elephants and zebras there. Just go with the bigger land cruiser with windows, as the roads in Amboseli are very dusty Big plus is also a new swimming pool It is located in a remote area, so you are away from the rush in the city, nobody will bother you there

It was great to stay there, with Kilimanjaro view in front and so many birds around. Brian is an excellent host and cook, he kept company with me at the bonfire :) Thank you for everything! Recommend to the nature lovers.

“A perfect base for Amboseli Safari with friends”

Very stunning views of the mountain. Clean large rooms, the staff were friendly. They offer a game drive through Amboseli National Park, the guide is very well-informed and gives deep lessons on how each animal interacts and survives in the wild. Overall we had a great safari experience in Amboseli.

“Staying into nature”

It was quite an experience to stay in front of Kilimandscharo. Its just a tent but still comfy. And we had a perfect clear view in the morning. The main reason why we loved to stay there is Brian. It's rare that you get such an friendly service for everything. Brian is just a good guy who takes care of you as a guide and is cooking delicious meals. Thanks for your hospitality we would came back! We thought it needs a lot of time to reach the place. But from Nairobi with public transportation by train to Emali, Boda to Matatus in Emali, Matatu to Oloitokitok and Boda to the camp it was quite easy and faster then expected.

Excellent customer service. I cannot fault them, so warm and kind. The team went above and beyond to accomodate to our needs. The chef is great, his food was delicious, healthy and wholesome. The hikes are lovely. Thank you so much for the wonderful memories Brian & co.

“Authentic experience in the land of Massai”

A tranquil place in the middle of savanna with magnificent views on Kilimanjaro, birds singing since early morning on acacia trees and amazing people who make this please special and take care of you like of their own friends. We arrived in Emali and were picked up by a taxi and brought directly to the camping. We booked four nights in a tent but as we had no car and our backpacks would probably not fit in a tent, we had to change for a house (additionally paid). This place is very safe, surrounded by an electric fence, gate closed for the night and security (Sam) is always there for you. Brian (Lerionka) is a great host (he together with Sam and my husband organized beautiful birthday for me), an awesome cook (his food was delicious) and tour guide - he knows so much about the nature and enjoys sharing his passions with guests. We went on one-day Safari in Amboseli organized by Brian with a guide Isak (very competent guide with years of experience, highly recommended), walking tour (spotting zebras) on savanna next to the camping, hiking on foothill of Kili and even a cooking lesson with Brian. If you would like to relax, spend time in nature, enjoy the views of top of Kilimanjaro and get an authentic experience in Kimana and Oloitokitok, you should definitely stay longer than 2 nights. “Fantastic location and excellent service.”

Stunning location with a clear view of Kilimanjaro. You are off the beaten track so this is a peaceful place too. The tents were fine and the kitchen was small but served the purpose. Wash facilities were basic but clean. We had excellent service from Brian who built a fireplace evening and organised a safari for us, as well as a Masai village visit. Great place.

“A secluded simple paradise near Kilimanjaro”

I have been so fortunate to go to Africa six times and this was my second visit to Kenya but my first to Amboseli. Lovely small tents with big views of Kilimanjaro with an outdoor shower! This feels like my African home. I have stayed in many great campsites but none match this place in landscape, tranquility, guiding, and intimacy of the staff. I can’t imagine returning to Africa without coming here. I completely understand why it has lovely comments.

Beautiful setting, woken up by birds and the amazing view of Mt Kilimanjaro. We loved the birthday cake and packed lunch for the day tour, The host is friendly and accommodative, we did a guided walk and safari and we must say we had a nice experience in Amboseli. We recommend this place!

The view was magnificent! Brian is a very attentive host and a pleasure to be around. The place is also pet-friendly. Brian took us on a hike to a beautiful waterfall a few kilometers away and my dogs and I were thrilled! We also had some lovely food prepared by a chef whose name is also Brian.
