Beautifully renovated with character . Plenty of space for cars and a walk around the property and farm. A little hideaway. Beautiful French breakfast and the hosts engaged and were lovely to talk to. Would happily return and recommend to friends.

We loved our stay at the Manior. Aude and Rob were charming and informative hosts. Our room was clean and comfortable and breakfast was delicious and typically french. Coffee was strong and tasty so all good.

Aude and Rob were simply incredible. They went way and beyond any other place we have ever stayed in. My husband was sick and they went out of their way to look after us as well as organise a doctor appointment, and give us detailed instructions on how to get there. We did a little washing and hung in room - but they took them and hung on their own clothes line to dry then folded and brought back to the room. And…aside from being the best host ever the place was fabulous. It was way better than any photos - unbelievably quiet, beautiful setting, fabulous outdoor seating for that gin or wine alternative in the day. Just everything was perfect. We will be back!

As soon as you arrive and see the garden & the house you know it will be a perfect holiday. Even though you are in Ambiose and two castles are in walking distance, you can enjoy a peaceful and quiet area due to the huge garden. The room and the bathroom are spacious and comfortable. If you like jams you will definetly enjoy the selection of home made jams for breakfast. Aude and Rob are excellent landlords, thank you for everything!

We had a Lovely stay, The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, breakfast was great with lovely fresh bread from the local bakery. Room was nice and cool in the exceptionally hot weather. The setting and the grounds were beautiful and being greeted by Llamas on the way to breakfast was an unexpected treat. The shared kitchen is a nice bonus. Janet and Nigel

Fantastic hosts and charming atmosphere. 17th century chateau, so had an historic appeal. Large property to walk around in.

Everything was excellent - we would give it 11/10 if we could! The room was beautiful, the hosts Aude and Rob were so helpful and welcoming, the breakfast was delicious (especially the green tomato jam!) and the bed was super comfy. It was a lovely location - really peaceful and beautiful gardens but still very close to town. We will be back!

“Fantastic spot for a relaxing stop on the way to the Chunnel.”

The rooms were spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed and linen. It was very quiet so we had an excellent night’s sleep. In arriving we wanted a taxi to town for dinner and our host generously offered to take us in. We were able to call a taxi in the end but his offer was very much appreciated. Breakfast was very nice and the cherry compote with yoghurt was a big hit with me. We will definitely stay again as it is a great halfway stop between the Dordogne and the Chunnel. Great hosts!

“One of our best travelling experience’s and perfect Loire/Amboise Location”

Rob (English) and Auld (French) were outstanding hosts and gave that wow factor by arranging their classic car owning friends to meet us, and to put us in contact with Daniel Gatay for a memorable wine tasting on the premises. The Manoir is a lovely place and located within a 25 minute walk of the delightful history bars and restaurants of Amboise old town. One of our best classic car travelling experience’s with friends.

The location is amazing. Only a very short distance from the centre of town and all attractions and services, but tucked away in a quiet and safe location. The owners were very friendly, spoke excellent English which was very appreciated, every comfort provided and breakfast was generous and everything high quality and fresh.
