“Clean, comfortable and great location!”

My dad and I travelled down from Glasgow on our motorbikes. The Wanslea was the ideal base for our trip. Room was immaculate and comfortable, breakfast was great and there was a spacious car park for the bikes. Location is great too, only a 5 minute walk from the centre of Ambleside. Highly recommend the Wanslea.

The owners were so lovely and welcoming. I stopped for Windermere marathon and they were so supportive and made me some toast and coffee before breakfast time the morning of the marathon. The next morning we were talking lots, they are just lovely. Thank you.

“My 2nd stay and definitely not my last 👌”

The property itself is in a great location between Windermere and the town centre. Parking is catered for and access to main road routes is easy. The rooms are spotlessly clean and very comfortable and have everything that you need for a stay. The breakfast is superb with a range of options and I would personally recommend the locally sourced bacon and sausage which are excellent. I would also highly recommend the preserves which are homemade by Tina (I always end up buying jars to take home). And that brings me on to the owners Tina and Steve. You could not meet 2 more welcoming, friendly and helpful hosts. This was my 2nd stay at Wanslea Guest House and it will certainly not be my last. Thank you to Tina and Steve.
