Overview
Located in Ambleside in the heart of the beautiful Lake District, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Lakes B&B offers mountain views and is only a 5-minute drive from Windermere, England’s largest lake. Guests can enjoy mountain views from rooms which are decorated using natural colours and wood furnishings. They come equipped with a flat-screen TV as well as an en suite bathroom and free Wi-Fi. In the spacious dining room, a home-cooked breakfast can be enjoyed each morning. The Lakes B&B is just a 15-minute drive from Helvellyn Mountain, England’s third largest peak. The bike-friendly hotel offers secure storage for motorcycles and bicycles and has drying facilities available for walkers and cyclists. It is located close to many woodland trails or picturesque walks, some start and finish at the hotel itself.

“A fantastic place to stay in Ambleside.”
Clare and Eugene’s property is very comfortable with everything you could need. It is wonderfully located in the centre of Ambleside and Clare organised parking for us just down the road. Breakfast was great. We had a lovely stay. Cannot recommend highly enough.

“Enjoyable weekend stay in a delightful location.”
Traditional style B and B superbly run by Clare and Eugene with the customer always at the forefront of their business. Room was immaculate, breakfast spot on and ideal location.

The hosts were lovely. It was Valentines weekend and they went all out with decor, sweet treats in the room. Every detail is covered and it was very comfy.

“Perfect cosy retreat”
Everything. Room was perfect, bed was so comfortable and we even had homemade muffins ready in the room when we arrived!! The breakfast was cooked to PERFECTION and there was much more choice than expected.

“Fab weekend in the Lakes”
Excellent hosts, couldn't have been more helpful. Breakfast was fab with plenty of choice. Ideally situated in Ambleside for wandering around. Gave good recommendations for places to eat evening meals. Will definitely stay with them again if going to Ambleside.
