Just half a mile from the shores of beautiful Lake Windermere, The Fisherbeck offers scenic views across the Lake District. There is parking and a fee applies, our car park is limited and we work in first come first serve policy, free Wi-Fi and free award-winning breakfasts. The individually designed rooms at The Fisherbeck have luxury Sealy beds and private modern bathrooms with free designer toiletries. Rooms also have a TV, radio, hairdryer and tea and coffee facilities. Delicious continental breakfast is served daily in the breakfast room, featuring local produce and homemade pastries. The Fisherbeck is situated in southern Ambleside, just 5 minutes’ walk from Waterhead. Windermere Railway Station is a 10-minute drive away, and Bowness-on-Windermere can also be reached in 10 minutes’ drive. For guests staying with their pets, the charge is £30 per pet per stay.

Location is perfect. 5 min walk to Ambleside for shops and restaurants. Minutes away from lots of walks. Breakfast buffet was good. Dog friendly rooms.

“Quick gateway”
The hotel was very close to Ambleside, just a few minutes walk into the town. The staff were friendly and check in was very easy.
