Overview
Situated in the Lake District, the Apple Pie is surrounded by picturesque scenery. It is a bakery and cafe that offers 4-star guest accommodation, limited parking spaces and free WiFi. Guests can enjoy a range of homemade pastries, pies and cakes, along with speciality coffees and teas. Full English, American-style and light breakfasts are available, with freshly squeezed orange juice, for a surcharge. Each room is elegantly furnished, with soft linens, a flat-screen TV and an iPod docking station. Rooms also have facilities for making tea and coffee, and an en suite bathroom with a hairdryer. The Apple Pie is located in the charming town of Ambleside, less than 5 minutes’ walk from the centre. In the centre of town, there is a cinema and a choice of restaurants to try.

“Perfect spot to explore Windermere”
We had two nights in the Apple Pie Rooms - a twin room at the very top of the building. Check-in was easy, and we found the room very comfortable. The skylight allowed us ventilation, but we were also very grateful for the fan provided which kept us cooler at night. Fresh milk is available at all times, and an honesty box for snacks. A spacious bathroom also included a bath. We sampled the gingerbread, apple pies and sausage rolls from the Apple Pie Bakery - delicious! Good location for exploring the Windermere area.

“Well located with parking. Clean rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful.”
The property was as we expected. It was a room for the night. The rooms were clean with en suite facilities. We were a party of two couples. One couple had a double room downstairs which was excellent for them as they would not have been able to get up and down the stairs. One couple were in the attic room. This room was light and airy.

Everything loved it .Ideal Location great Parking spot right outside the front door .Never moved the car from arriving at the Apple pie to departing 2 days later .Thoroughly enjoyed our stay will definitely book again in the future . 😊👍.

Fabulous location central for Ambleside . Car parking available outside property and overspill a short walk away if no spaces left. Fresh milk available for complimentary hot drinks and a lovely slice of local gingerbread such a welcome touch. Staff lovely , friendly and helpful
