The Waterhead Inn also serves lunch and evening dining options if required. Please note The Lakehouse is across the road from The Waterhead Inn and this is up a slight incline so may not be suitable for guests with mobility issues. Surrounded by scenic walking routes, this recently refurbished Inn is just a few yards from the shores of Lake Windermere. Free parking is available on-site, subject to availability or alternatively, there are chargeable car parks nearby. Ambleside town centre is only a short stroll away for you to explore during your stay.

The facilities are quite large and located very centrally. Breakfast was great, and the pub had great food. Just be aware that there are two separate menus depending on whether or not you made a reservation or just walked in.

Everything was fabulous, the Hotel itself is beautifully decorated and tastefully done. Staff friendly and welcoming. Our room was in the lakehouse across the road from the Hotel we had excellent views of the lake and again the room was beautiful with everything you needed and ample space
