Overview
Set in the historic Rydal Valley, amidst the fells, sits Crow How Country Guest House. Crow How is situated in 2 acres of private woodland gardens surrounded by countryside views, the Fairfield Horseshoe and Loughrigg Fell. It is set next to a working farm, a 15-minute walk from Ambleside town centre. Clean modern rooms are en suite and all have TVs and radios. All rooms have seating areas and most have king sized beds. Most rooms have no shared walls. Wi-Fi is available. Crow How Country Guest House serves a traditional Cumbrian breakfast. The shops and restaurants of Ambleside are 15 minutes' walk away whilst Grasmere is only a 10-minute drive. At Waterhead catch frequent boat trips to Bowness and Lake Windermere. Crow How provides a visitor pack highlighting the many attractions of the area, including bus and boat timetables. There are also five golf courses within an hours' drive.

Comfy bed, good shower, house and gardens lovely. Good location, short walk to Ambleside or Rydal. Close to main road and bus route, nearest bus stop only 5 minutes. There is a drying room for coats and boots. I arrived early but had been informed I could park the car there which was very handy, used downstairs loo and walked into Ambleside.

Crow How is a fabulous place to stay within easy walking distance of bustling Ambleside but located in a beautiful, quiet, secluded garden. All the staff are super friendly and very professional The room was squeaky clean with lovely views of the garden and fells. Delicious breakfast too.

We had an amazing stay at Crow How. The location is unbeatable, close to Ambleside, Rydal and Grasmere but set back from the chaos. The room was very quiet, and the only sound we heard was an owl. Breakfast was superb and the place had an inviting feel. Thank you to the hosts for putting us up such late notice.
