This is the most wonderful place to stay and relax Charles and Tarcies are perfect hosts we had been travelling a long way and this two night stop was perfect we wished we had booked longer The supper on both nights was fabulous nothing has been overlooked 5 star accommodation !

“A perfect stay in a beautiful area of France”
The hosts of this property make everything perfect from up front direction communication to the quality of the food which is exceptional. The house is beautiful likewise the garden and pool area. We loved our short time here and was made very welcome. My motorcycle was parked safely overnight and we had a great experience.

Second time at La Vaisse and second awesome vital experience. Tarcies and Charles are both fantastic hosts and their home its wonderful. Any single minute there will worth the reservation. Even in hot days, house is warm and pool will do the rest. Table d'hotes with them and the guests are always beautifull and pacefull moments with a lot of time to learn about another people, another places. Tarcies cook as a godess and the rooms are incredible. Environment, 800m high and near couple of 1000 cols, its something extra to this incredible place.

“Perfect!”
We try not to repeat visits in France because there are so many beautiful places to see. But we had to make an exception with La Vaisse. What a stunning place this is! The most beautiful location, the highest quality furnishings and fittings, the most charming, welcoming hosts. Charles and Tarcies have created a superb Chambres d’hôtes in their own home and you feel like a member of the family. The cuisine is always marvellous - we are pescatarian and have eaten both vegetarian and fish dishes prepared by C&T which were both creative and delicious. Breakfast is also wonderful with homemade jams and locally sourced honey and cheese. A true gem of a place!

“Absolutely brilliant”
Tarcies and Charles are the best hosts ever; sincere, welcoming, charming, humorous. We opted for dinner both nights and wow, what an experience. Not only did Tarcies prepare and cook the most extraordinary food, mostly comprising very local ingredients, Charles also has an epic wine list which betters the majority of restaurants I frequent. I am convinced noone will be disappointed electing to have dinner here; it's an epic experience. My wife availed herself of the freshwater swimming pool and reported that it was 'refreshing' and 'amazing'. I watched from the safety of the decking with a cold beer!!! Breakfast was lovely, including eggs freshly collected from the hens in the garden. The accommodation itself is very classy and our spacious room was perfect in every respect. Charles and Tarcies recommended an app for mountain biking in the region and we had a superb ride as a result, through Ambert and into the hills and forests beyond. I travel a lot and can safely say that La Vaisse is 10/10. Tarcies should have a Michelin *

“Superb hosts who have created a magnificent residence”
Oh my goodness, where to start?! A stunning location with the most fantastic hosts! La Vaisse is absolutely magnificent! All areas are stunning with exquisite decor and furnishings. Take the Table d’hotes - Tarcis’s cuisine is wonderful. We ate vegetarian and were served the most creative, delicious four course table. Charles has a very good wine list from which you can choose. We enjoyed a truly wonderful evening with two people who clearly love what they do. As we said to our hosts, we have a rule to always try somewhere new - but this one is a ‘must’ to return to.

“Absolutely amazing!”
We had an amazing stay at La Vaisse. Tarcies and Charles are wonderful people, they made our stay very comfortable, pleasant, really memorable experience! The house is beautiful, nicely decorated, has charming garden and a natural swim pool we enjoyed a lot. Out room was very spacious, with beautiful decor, with everything we needed in it. Tarcies cooked a delicious dinner for us, we liked a lot. The location is lovely, you are in a middle of nature, a lot of possibilities for hiking and long walks. We definitely want to come again and stay longer so we can enjoy it even more. Big thank you for Charles and Tarcies for such an amazing experience!

“Just the spot for our stopover on the way south”
Wonderful position with view over the valley. A spacious traditional property. Excellent meal provided in the evening shared with the hosts family. Having the use of a swimming pool on such a hot day was a bonus. Could bear in mind for longer stopover to explore the area.
