“Our first stay in Sri Lanka and we could not have found a better place for that - just fabulous”

We could not have been happier with everything at Villa Mer Vue - from the location, to the facilities, the staff, who were brilliant, the food available at the restaurant next door - all fabulous. The staff were so so helpful and could not do enough to make sure our stay was just brilliant. A beautiful place and we were delighted with everything.

The villa was stunning and in an incredible location. Peaceful and relaxing. The staff were so friendly and helpful but not intrusive- always on hand if needed.

The bedrooms were lovely and big and all had en suite bathrooms. Unfortunately the air conditioning unit in our room failed on the second night. We did some cooking for ourselves and the kitchen could be better equipped. The upstairs balcony overlooking the beach is fantastic and we loved our time sitting up there. The on site restaurant is very good. Breakfasts were excellent and the staff are all really lovely and friendly. The private pool and garden are also lovely.

excellent location near to the non tourist area of Ambalangoda which offers great shops and markets. for approx 1000srl you can get a tuck tuck to Hikkaduwa for tourist restaurants, gift shops and great beach. The villa was incredibly relaxing after a busy week of touring. The staff were very welcoming and the food was tasty.

Place to be! We had an amazing time here. The Villa is located at beautiful and quiet beach, which has been cleaned every day by the Villa staff. Deliciouc breakfast served every morning (I liked the Srilankan style the most), also lunches and dinners were great. The villa team led by Thameera did their best. Our kids enjoyed the pool and waves a lot. Thameera also arranged for us nice trips to the main locations such as safari, gardens, waterfalls, … I wish we had much more time here. Thank you so much!

Udith and the team are amazing. They are helpful and always available without impacting your privacy. The available food is interesting an varied and most of all the chef will accommodate reasonable requests. The villa is right on a beautiful stretch of beach that is amazing to just look at. The sea is so close it can lull you to sleep on one of the comfortable couches upstairs. The sunsets are a great for a sundowner or two! The property is well maintained but with any ocean facing property small things can show signs of weathering- but nothing that can impact your stay.

“Great Christmas holiday in Sri Lanka”

Great owner, staff, villa and location (right on the beach - which you have to yourself!) We were 2 families (4 adults, 6 kids age 7-14, had two villas) who spent 1 week here and had a great christmas holiday. The owner is very helpfull both when it comes to making the stay in the villas as good as possible and when it comes to practical arrangements for getting around. He also helped greatly with further travels and transport in Sri Lanka after we left the villas. There was a minibus and driver (very kind!) connected to the villas which is very practical for getting around (for a reasonable extra cost). The staff in the house too is very kind and service-minded and makes the stay very comfortable. Christmas eve as an example where both owner and staff really gave us a great evening on the beach with very nice food (even a very good christmas cake!) bonfire, sparkles and christmas hats:) A big thanks to Udi and his staff. We can recommend a stay in this villa!

The food and on site cooks and cleaners was amazing. The staff were all wonderful and the house is simply stunning, if I could live in a house like this for the rest of my days I would. The beach is private and almost empty 90% of the time we were there which was a treat and the upstairs veranda and seating areas generally were gorgeous. The house is very well equipped, has AC, good kitchen equipment and a huge fridge. There is not much you want for here. The villa is probably 15 minutes north of Hikkaduwa which is handy and they will also arrange trips for you as they have an on site driver Kumara who is excellent. We booked a dive trip and had a fabulous day's diving. The food is excellent too, we highly recommend the bbq grill option for the evening where we had an absolute feast of food.
