Comfortable ensuite room with a fan and AC. The staff were so lovely and accommodating as I was arriving late at night. Obviously it’s basic but great value for money and so close to the beach!

“Friendly local family and comfortable rooms”

This guesthouse is run by a local family. They are very friendly! I could arrive early like 11:00 o clock. Grandpa arranged that the neighbours would make a traditional Sri Lankan rice and curry for me. It was very good. not too spicy. It came with bananas from their own garden. I also arranged to have Sri Lankan breakfast the next day. Milk rice and they also brought a healthy ayurvedic drink, a hot sort of soup made from leaves. They where really going above and beyond. Even the neighbour came running with an icecream. because even breakfast needs a dessert? :) The room was comfortable with a fan and musquito net. The shared bathroom was big, looked good and comfortable. There is a nice common balcony with a cool breeze and nice view as well. I was coming to this area to find a geocache at the moonstone mine nearby. When i told this, the grandpa told me that if i found the jewellery at the mine to expensive, i should watch his jewellery after i got back to the hotel. Turned out the old man is a jeweller himself! Somebody brought the big bag full of jewellery up for the old man. At the mine, the jewellers had bean so commercial, so unfriendly. I rather buy something nice for my sister here. Where i know the people can really use the income and they are all doing everything possible to make your stay a nice one. Dinner i had with a good restaurant only 300 meters walking from the hotel, just past the bridge. Also has a nice view over a little lake.

The owner and his whole family are very kind and friendly people. I've learned a lot of interesting facts about Sri Lanka and their village from them. They've always helped me out with everything i needed and their resort is located right next to the beach with the most beautiful coral reef i've ever seen in my life.
