The Hotel was like something from a bygone era, the decor was wonderful & matched the property exceptionally. Loved it. Gorgeous grounds to walk around, with lots of wildlife. The staff were professional in every way, exceptional, the owner is lucky to have such great employees.

Lands of Loyal is a very comfortable and welcoming hotel. The lounge with it’s beautiful fire place and wonderful decor provides a great atmosphere. Staff are always on hand to help with anything weather it’s a drink, meal or to plump up the lovely cushions. Highly recommend and hope to get back sometime.

We chose this hotel as a convenient place to break our journey from the north of Scotland to Manchester. However, it would be an excellent place to stay for a few days to visit attractions in this part of Scotland. The hotel is very attractive and the open fire in the great hall after dinner was very welcome on a rather chilly evening. The food was very good and the young man who checked us in and then served us at dinner was absolutely excellent - always there when needed and very helpful without being intrusive. The bar had a very good selection of single malt whiskeys as well!

“Fantastic Relaxing Break”

Great location in a quiet, scenic setting with splendid gardens. I loved the eclectic interiors with old fashioned decor and spectacular fireplace with log fire. The staff were exceptional, really helpful and attentive. We had a regular double room which was unique, quirky and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean, spacious with the choice of a bath and separate shower. We had an evening meal in the hotel with drinks served in the lounge and shown to our table when our meal was ready to be served. The menu has a good variety of options and although pricey it was well worth the price. The braised steak was ultra tender and delicious with all veg cooked to perfection. My partner was impressed with his meal of Indian chicken. Dessert was great too and we were both impressed with our dining experience. I also liked that it was a 10 minute walk into the centre of Aylth. Overall we had a wonderful relaxing break in quiet surroundings and plan to return.
