The location and territory is incredible! Great swimming pool and walking distance from the bridge. The room is good and clean, but relatively small. Bed is comfortable , we slept well. The hotel ladies are very friendly and helpful.

“A magical place.”
We just loved both Casa do Soutinho and the bridge/walkways that were so nearby. A beautiful place to stay with accommodating and friendly staff. Do book bridge tickets ahead and choose the Avarenga side. Also excellent recommendation for a wonderful local restaurant.

“Great location for Paiva walks”
Location was excelent for Arouca bridge & Paiva walks. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable. Breakfast was good and all staff very kindly.

“Very lovely hotel and staff!”
The staff are super helpful, the property is easy to locate and has plenty of parking. You can see the suspension bridge from the pool! The bed was super comfortable and nice local restaurants at a walking distance

My friend and I had an excellent stay here. The staff are lovely and the room was great with beautiful mountain views. Fab breakfast as well! The location is quiet and you really need a car to get there and around, but that's not a bad thing!

Loved it, Paula and Luisa made our stay perfect, thank you so much. Ideal location for walking over the 516 suspension bridge and the Paiva Boardwalk. The breakfast was super. Lazing by the pool is also great.

“Very nice. I highly recommend Casa do Soutinho.”
We came mainly to do the Arouca Suspension Bridge and nature walk, so the location was perfect for these activities. The staff couldn't have been nicer and more helpful, especially Larissa who is a real diamond and made great suggestions for the nature walk and for dinner at nearby Ze Mota steakhouse. On our departure, we had a problem with a dying battery in our rental car, which wouldn't start. Larissa and her manager (whose name escapes me) were brilliant helping us out of this jam. Larissa called Centauro and reported the problem and helped arrange a replacement car for us (which we had to return to Porto to pick up, but needs must), while her manager drove into town and fetched a battery charger for us and got the car started and us back on the road. A difficult situation made relatively painless - thanks again, ladies! Oh, and the breakfast is good too. The breakfast server is an artist with scrambled eggs!

We were received warmly and helpfully, given information about the walk - including closing times! and more information about the suspended bridge, etc. The room was spotless and the view was stunning.

“Outstanding in every way.”
Outstanding! Beautiful house, room clean and comfortable, bathroom very clean with lovely hot rainforest shower. Breakfast excellent. Free tea coffee and cakes all day! Plenty of towels, including for the pool. Great welcome - helpful and kind host with good English and French. Brilliant location and short walk from the 516 Arouca bridge.

“Beautiful country hotel”
Beautiful small country hotel. Room facing the pool in main building. Comfortable bed, good water pressure in the shower. Breakfast very good. Pool area comfortable. Honesty bar with good prices, very nice bottle of “champagne” from Portugal costs 12 euros. Very friendly staff.
