“Nice guesthouse in beautiful location”

The main selling point for this place is its beautiful location - it's right on the river bank looking out towards paradise island and you can get a boat across to Bentota beach. There's a nice clean pool in the garden to cool off in too. Room was spacious and clean with ceiling fan and good a/c. Table and chairs outside on the terrace with views of the river. A simple breakfast of eggs toast and fruit is provided. However if you want evening meal, you have to order in advance. There aren't too many dining options nearby, unless you like KFC, Pizza Hut or Dominos! Plenty of restaurants further into town near the river or in Bentota itself.

Very nice reception We arrived very late but still a good reception from this family run private residence . Breakfast was very good My children enjoyed the water sports available at very reasonable prices Would visit again when in Sri Lanka

It has a wonderful atmosphere; it's lovely to watch the river all day and the sunset in the evening. The owner was very helpful, and it's close to everything – markets in 3 minutes, train station a 10-minute walk – and a fantastic breakfast.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality that made me feel right at home. 👍🙌🫶 The staff is truly exceptional, they are attentive, friendly, and always willing to go the extra mile to ensure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. They genuine care for their guests, and truly value the experience of every visitor. 🏖 The room was big, cozy and well-maintained. There is an AC, kettle and fridge. I highly recommend.

“A good value for money residence with a beautiful family.”

The property was clean and the swimming pool was clean, it’s located on the river. The people that run this property are very kind and friendly, especially Ranji, he’s exceptional and the lady that does the Ayurveda treatment is also very good. The owners son, Dinesh does the river safari and his knowledge is excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed the river cruise. He took me to the beach and a restaurant on his boat. Also the breakfast was lovely.

We had a fantastic stay at Residence Jasmine. A beautiful quiet spot on the river. Our room was spotlessly clean and had a lovely hot shower. The breakfasts were excellent - lovely juices. The Wi-Fi worked very well. We had a wonderful boat trip from the hotel along the river and saw some incredible wildlife. The pool was lovely and also very clean.
