Overview
Set in a 17th-century barn, Upper Neatham Mill offers hearty breakfasts and luxury rooms with antique furniture. The B&B is situated just outside Alton in scenic Hampshire. The elegant bedrooms at this single-person occupancy adult-only property are individually decorated, and each has a flat-screen satellite TV. All rooms feature tea/coffee facilities and a modern bathroom with free toiletries. Traditional full English breakfasts are served in the grand dining room, with its vaulted ceiling and exposed beams. Breakfast includes homemade bread, organic milk and fresh local produce. Upper Neatham Mill is a 20-minute walk from Alton Railway Station, with access to the Watercress Line Steam Train. Free parking is available, and historic Winchester is a 30-minute drive away.

Hampshire is the inspiration for the Shire of Lord of the Rings. Tolkien must of stayed here. If he didn't then he missed out big time.

A beautiful setting with character, and lovely to be able to sit outside. The host was really welcoming, friendly and helpful. It was a perfect place to stay for a couple of nights and felt relaxed, safe and secure.

“Lovely stay at Upper Neatham Mill”
I used to stop here around 6 years ago and knew how lovely it was but if anything it's improved since then. Nice little touches like black out blinds and a cafetiere in the room. Plus the room was absolutely spotless. Looking forward to my next visit.

Room was perfectly pleasant in size and facilities. Nice and warm (weather cold). Shower was lovely. Bathroom nice and spacious. Bed huge and fairly comfy although pillows weren't great and only 2 available. Room quiet.

“Tranquil location but not far from the town centre.”
It was in a lovely location. One of the big things for me was the lack of road noise. I have had many nights in other places in the Alton area where my sleep was disturbed. I also liked the power shower.

Location ideal not isolated but quiet. Lovely conversion of former farm house. Extensive grounds to enjoy and easy access to walks. Did not have bkft but evening room service menu good and cooked to order. Hosts so helpful . Easy parking. Very homely feeling
