“A fair, considered review....”
We had a very welcoming greeting upon arrival, and were able to check in early, as well as sit down early for our pre-booked lunch table. From this arrival, unfortunately the 'positive vibes' lessened....

Poor cleanliness in the room, cobwebs and mould in the shower. Right outside outdoor area of the pub which was loud until late.

Well presented room, comfy bed and nice shower. Pub serves nice food and a good range of drinks. Staff really friendly and the breakfast was really good too!

“Cute little chalet in a great location”
The chalet itself was cute and self-contained; the French Horn is a really nice pub with great food; the location was excellent. Within reach of both Birdworld and Chawton which served our weekend plans perfectly.

“Cute stay with welcoming hosts”
It was at a convenient location for my visit, walking distance to Jane Austen house or Alton. Alternatively you can take the bus. It's cute, tiny, but has everything needed for a short stay. It was quiet during the night. The pub next to it had really good dinner and breakfast, with attentive staff and nice local people hanging out.
