Situated in spacious grounds, Alton House Hotel is the largest hotel in Alton featuring ample free parking and free Wi-Fi. Alton town centre is just a 5-minute walk. All rooms are equipped with Freeview TV and a private bathroom with a hairdryer. Tea and coffee facilities are also provided. For added comfort, some rooms include four poster beds. Open 7 days a week, Squires Café Bar & Restaurant has free Wi-Fi and offers a pleasant setting for a relaxed dinner, quick lunch or an after-meal drink. Room service is also available. The Alton House is located 8 minutes’ drive from Jane Austen’s house in Chawton and less than 15 minutes’ drive from Gilbert White’s House and Gardens. Alton Rail Station is only metres away. Please note that this hotel is in Hampshire, and is not close to Alton Towers Theme Park.

“Very relaxing, comftable and pleasant”
We were made very welcome in a good size comfortable room. There was always someone at Reception to answer questions. We enjoyed an excellent evening meal and two great breakfasts. Everything was pleasant and hassle free!

Our sink had cracks all over it and the floor had previous marks of mold. The bed was lumpy , the Hotel was just outside town which was good.
