Overview
Situated 1 km from the village of Alte with its whitewashed houses, this hotel features a garden with a pool, and air-conditioned rooms. There is an on-site tennis court and a panoramic rooftop terrace. With a private balcony, all rooms at Alte Hotel offer a satellite TV and telephone. Each room has a private bathroom with a shower. A breakfast buffet is served daily in Alte’s restaurant. It serves regional cuisine for lunch and dinner. Guests can have drinks on the terrace with its coastline views of the Algarve. Billiards and darts are available in the games room. Guests can also play tennis or drive to several golf courses in the area. The 24-hour reception staff can arrange car rentals so that guests can drive to Albufeira (35 km) and Faro (55 km). They also provide tourist information and free parking.

“Comfortable hotel in de Algarve”

“Xmas at the Alte Hotel.”
The staff were super friendly and helpful. I was visiting my brother so only had breakfasts which were adequate. Coffee machine was fab.

“Excellent value for money”
I stayed at Alte Hotel in 2 different ocasions, only 1 night on my way to the south of Spain and a week later on my way back. The first room was good, nice bed, good shower. The second room not so good bed, and the shower was terrible. But overall, Good value for money. Location is interesting, away from the confusion. The restaurant was very good, and the staff very friendly. Overall you get a lot of value for money, given its peaceful, good sleep, nice pool, friendly staff. It even has a pool table.

“Beautiful Alte”
Staff were very good and pleasant, room was clean and tidy. Breakfast was very good. Unfortunately the beds were very hard, I had to fold up 2 blankets to put under the pillow, some cracks in the tiling in the bathroom. Area is beautiful and the Portuguese people are very nice.

“A Pleasant stay in the countryside near Faro”
The bar was good, the air conditioning was good as well, the bathroom was OK, the bed was good, the TV is small but we barely use it anyways so it's fine as well, the pool is not big but it's enough to be enjoyable, plenty of parking for cars.

“A pleasant overnight stay in Alte”
All of the staff that I met were very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room was very spacious with ample storage space. There was plenty of hot water and a good pressure in the shower. Breakfast was good with a selection of breads, hot and cold drinks, cereals, cheese, meat and scrambled eggs.
