“Beautiful hotel up a mountain”

This is a gorgeous hotel up in the mountains and only accessible by cable car which just makes it more of an adventure. Our room was lovely cosy and we had a fabulous meal in the hotel restaurant. The only thing we missed was the view and only because the clouds scuppered what should have a been a fabulous vista. We felt incredibly well looked after and wish we could have stayed longer.

“Fabulous mountain hotel in a beautiful location”

Beautifully designed hotel in a gorgeous setting. The terrace was fabulous to have a drink, read a book and soak up the amazing views. All of the staff and owners were very welcoming to both us and our 2 dogs. The food at the restaurant was exceptional we would highly recommend!

BEST BED WE’VE EVER SLEPT IN! With this hotel, you’re literally up in the clouds, and the bed made it feel like you’re sleeping in one! The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed 1 night here with a lovely dinner and breakfast the next morning. The views are absolutely incredible also, do not miss out on a chance on staying here! Thanks guys!

“Paradise”

A short sky car ride to paradise. Andy and Gaby were the perfect hosts, we couldn’t have asked for much more. All local and fresh food is provided in the restaurant. We were also shown where to explore during our stay whilst also accommodating a young child who loved his stay. Andy also helped us with Swiss/UK plug adapters that we did not have which we really appreciated.

My wife and I stayed at Berggasthaus Eggberge for one magical night on August 13th, and it was an absolute delight from start to finish! The food was a true highlight creative, delicious, and expertly prepared. I enjoyed the warm salmon salad followed by the Wiener schnitzel, while my wife raved about the beef pie, declaring it the best she’s ever had! Our room was cosy, clean, and incredibly comfortable especially the pillows! Though we didn’t have a view of the Gitschen and Brunnistock mountains, the scenery from the back was still lovely and peaceful. The journey up via cable car added to the adventure, making the whole experience feel even more special. Andy and Gaby are exceptional hosts their passion and attention to detail shine through in every aspect, from the thoughtfully crafted menu to the welcoming atmosphere. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and will cherish the memories. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a unique, relaxing, and delicious mountain retreat!

Magical location only reachable by a short cable car ride from the town/road. Wonderful hosts, comfortable rooms and characterfully decorated hotel! Dinner was also fabulous. Would love to come back for a longer stay. Highly recommended.

The views are incredible, changing every ten minutes based on the clouds you could just look out the window all day. The owners were welcoming and friendly and it was interesting to hear their renovation story and to see all the work they've put into the place. The food was delicious, especially the lemongrass soup!

“It was beyond my expectations”

We stayed here only for the one night but it was amazing experience. The owner of this hotel is very nice and friendly, the view on the mountains is gorgeous and the diner was so big that I’ve barely finished my dish. The hotel itself looks like it had renovations pretty recently (no mold in the bathroom or any kind of dirt on the walls etc.) Our room was super clean and cozy. Wonderful.

The location was just perfect! Going up with the cable train, having a drink and bite to eat the terrace with spectacular view and waking up with an even prettier view and nice breakfast. Would definitely recommend it!
