“Lovely jazucci outdoor expierience”

It was a really lovely experience to use the jacuzzi , it was always hot and ready to use. We stayed for 1 night and that was sufficient , if you stayed longer I would advice a car as it’s remote . It was lovely to receive breakfast in bed and Levi the host was excellent .

“Cute tiny hut, room for improvement”

The location was very nice, close to Alta, but you will definitely need a car. Every hut comes with a parking. It’s quite remote - so first it’s a nice couple escape, and second it’s very dark and you can see the northern lights when they appear. The glass roof was heated which provides a good view, and the hot tub was at a constant very nice temperature of 40° which makes it easily possible to stay outside even when the temperature is below zero. They provided bathrobes, you could really warm up the accommodation, and in general, the design of the tiny house is very cute. Tea, coffee and hot chocolate were also provided.

“Cozy cabin perfect for watching Northern Lights”

A nice, little, cozy, but still modern cabin, ideal for watching the northern light and being in peace. Glass roof was very clean and all over the bed. Jacuzzi is just huge for two people, very easy to use. The neighborhood is silent and beautiful. You can get a breakfast to your room, which was pretty good too.

“Amazing experience”

Everything was clean and tu hot tub was ready to use (heated in advance). The host was reactive and gave us tips to where to eat and order if needed.

An undescribable emotion to spend a night here, really amazing and the view is just astonishing

Just the most perfect experience! The cabin is incredibly well thought out. It has a small kitchenette (with hotplate and frypans, microwave and fridge + coffee machine) which allows for meals as you are about 15mins out of town. But the pancakes for breakfast are ESSENTIAL to try. The hot tub was set at 40° when we arrived and remained like that the whole 5 days we were there. The bathroom has heated floor (essential in -8° and straight from the hot tub) and is a great size. The heading is perfect (electric heater and double glazing). Very comfortable tilt beds to see the lights from all angles (see photo) and curtains for privacy. I cannot recommend highly enough.

“Flatmoen Natur Lodge completely exceeded our expectations — a magical, unforgettable stay”

We recently stayed at Flatmoen Natur Lodge, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The lodge itself was perfect — the bed was wonderfully comfortable, and the glass roof made it unbeatable for watching the northern lights from the warmth of our room. The cooking facilities were excellent and made our stay feel easy and relaxed. We also enjoyed a fantastic horse‑riding adventure, which truly topped off our visit. The staff were incredibly attentive and made us feel welcomed the entire time. Every moment was enjoyable. The location was ideal — not too far from town, making it easy to eat out or pick up groceries. And the spa was definitely the best addition; it made our stay even more special. We absolutely loved our time at Flatmoen and would highly recommend it.

“Little privacy and unable to lock door”

I would not recommend Flatmoen nature lodge if you are wanting privacy. We had to keep the curtains always closed as when the lights are on you are able to see everything inside the lodge. The doors have no curtains so the only way to have full privacy is with the lights completely off. All the lodges are very close and exactly in line with each other which is why this was an issue. The hot tub is lovely to be outside in watching the northern lights but can easily be ruined if the people next to you have their lights on. The lock on our lodge was broken and we discovered this when we were not given a set of keys upon check in. When I questioned this all I was told was “sorry you will just have to take your passports with you when you go out during the day”. This was not reassuring and we were disappointed that there was no compensation for not being able to lock our belongings safely inside. The kitchenette is very small and has only basic necessities but didn’t even have two large bowls. There is also only coat hangers and no clothes storage so I would recommend staying for no more than two nights. The sauna and breakfast is not included with the stay and is overpriced. There was very slippery ice on the stairs and around the hot tub which was dangerous to walk on and this was only taken care of on the day before we checked out. (4th day of our stay) It feels a shame to leave a negative review on this place as there are some lovely things about it but there were unfortunately a lot of things that effected the quality of our stay for the price we paid.

“Romantic getaway”

Inept the nicest stays we ever had. The cabins are cozy. You have everything what you need in the little kitchen. The service is exceptional. We loved it.

Nice modern lodges with kitchen and all necesseties. You even have a hottub you can use. The use of the sauna costs extra.

“Excellent, relaxing place , near nature , we had the opportunity to see some mooses”

The Flatmoen cabins are at the very end of a quiet road about 5 miles south of Alta. There are only four - so it feels very personal and private - and there is almost no light pollution so the views of the night sky are astonishing. The cabins look out onto a huge field - and the forest beyond - and, covered in deep snow as they were when we were there, the view is breathtaking. Johnny met us when we arrived to settle us in and couldn't have been friendlier. He explained all the extras that Flatmoen offers, but didn't pressure us at all to sign up for any of them. We had breakfast with them every morning (delivered by Johnny to the cabin at a time of our choice) and it was great. We also booked the wood-fired sauna for one day - which is along the edge of the field away from the cabins. A 2 hour slot was very reasonably priced - and the sauna has a separate relaxation area where you can change, etc. Each cabin has a hot tub which is on and at full temperature for the duration of your stay - no need to wait for it to warm up. We used it every day - and got to watch an amazing northern lights display from it on our final night. The cabins themselves each have a glass roof - so you can lie in your (extremely comfortable) bed and watch the sky! And a defroster which clears any snow from that glass roof very quickly. With a rental car, the drive into Alta is quick - under 15 minutes - or to Sorrisniva or Trasti & Trina (10 minutes in the opposite direction) for dinner (both excellent) - so nothing is very far away. We can recommend Flatmoen unreservedly. A fantastic place with a very friendly welcome.

Breakfast is a must have it was delicious. It is in beautiful surroundings and so comfortable. They do horse riding and sleigh rides

Very beautiful tiny house with a cozy hot tub and all around views. Great place to see northern lights. Super clean. We‘d love to come back!

At this price (374€ per night), having breakfast and sauna as paid options (20€ for the breakfast, 90€ for the sauna) is petty. The kitchen could be a bit more practical for the price (install induction plates instead of vitroceramic, provide a colander)

Amazing atmosphere

Warm, cosy, very comfortable, adjustable bed, floor to ceiling windows and sky light. Friendly and helpful staff, fast WiFi
