A nice quiet stay but close to the Tissington Trail

overall it was a lovely hut in the peaks . I think the location details need updating to say turn off the A515 at the junction sign posted Alsop Moor, as the address is making you think it is in Alsop en le Dale Village. but this is only my opinion as I do not have a satnav. The Welcome pack was very nice , milk, butter, bread, biscuits, jam, tea, coffee, etc. Kathy was welcoming and popped around to see if we were happy with everything and said we could dry our wet clothes over at the house if needed. The location in the countryside was lovely and quiet.

A wonderful, peaceful retreat

I wanted some time alone in a peaceful setting. It was absolutely perfect in every way. The location is very picturesque with the Tissington Trail easily accessible on foot. The hut itself has been so thoughtfully designed, it is a little hub of peace and tranquility. I will be going back at the earliest opportunity!

Amazing stay at this charming shepherd's hut in the Peak District!

We had an amazing stay at this charming shepherd's hut in the Peak District! The cozy, well-equipped space was perfect for both my 12-year-old son and me. Surrounded by breathtaking views, it provided a peaceful retreat while remaining close to nature’s wonders. The hospitality was exceptional, and we felt right at home. Highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the countryside!

A relaxing and beautiful escape with amazing hospitality!

We had a lovely stay in this gorgeous shepherds hut! It’s a beautiful setting, looking out onto the countryside - it was clean, comfortable and well equipped. Cathy, the owner, was so friendly and helpful, and went above and beyond to help us arrange transport to the nearby wedding we were visiting for. We also received a lovely welcome package with fresh bread, eggs, jams, plenty of tea/coffee and a Victoria sponge cake. Just what you need after a long journey (& a tasty post-wedding snack!) the area is lovely and we had a beautiful morning walk along the Tissington Trail and a delicious pie in a local pub Cathy recommended!
