“Two faced - nice to customers, rude to staff.”

The restaurant was ridiculously understaffed and when we asked the owner for assistance when the lone waitress was busy he just yelled her name when she was taking orders from a large table. Incredibly rude to his staff and to us. They had a large event in another room which was very demanding, plus half full restaurant with one waitress expected to do it all.

Check in and out where smooth. Staff were great. The bed was large and very comfortable and the triple room was spacious and clean. The weather was great and spending time in the beer garden was awesome. Super friendly people and the food was amazing. Get one of the many Schnitzel options. Can only recommend it. Our 5year old also loved the playground. Breakfast was basic but good and would have loved it till 10am. Looking forward to staying there again. The old town is just across the road and very easily accessible. Two thumps up and see again.

This is a small place that doesn't get a lot of foreign tourists and where there isn't that much English spoken. Really appreciated how the team took care of us, even if we couldn't speak with some of them! Particularly grateful of flexibility when we discovered that we'd booked the wrong dates and were leaving earlier than stated.

Great place to stay. 5 minutes walk from the old town. Staff were very friendly and the hotel was very clean. Good choice for breakfast at the buffet. The hotel has a fantastic beer garden that also serves great value for money food.

Location was good, but everything is pretty close in Alsfeld if you're driving. The breakfast buffet was excellent, and the food at the restaurant / beer garden was great too. My room was large and comfortable, and very quiet. The free wifi was fast and reliable.

Nice hotel with a soul. Big plus for an outdoor/ indoor restaurant which serves huge portions of very tasty food. Room was comfortable, bathroom clean.
