Overview
Offering direct access to the Seiser Alm, Gröden and Sellaronda ski areas, Sporthotel Sonne is set in its own furnished garden with a small lake. An on-site spa is complete with indoor pool, Finnish sauna and more treatments. The Sonne features spacious rooms with sofa in the seating area, free Wi-Fi, and a satellite TV. The private bathrooms come with bathrobes and free toiletries. Allergy-free rooms are provided on request. A generous breakfast is served daily, and the buffet includes eggs, cold cuts, brioches and handmade cakes. There are 2 bars on site and a restaurant is open for à-la-carte lunch and fixed-menu dinner. The sun terrace is equipped with sun loungers, and a second terrace is furnished with tables and chairs. There is a library, and Italian and German newspapers are also available. During summer, free weekly bike and hiking tours are organised with a scheduled shuttle service to the hiking areas. There is also a games room for children up to 6 years of age. The hotel is in a natural reserve, with limited traffic. The bus to Bolzano stops nearby. Ortisei is a short chair lift ride away.

“Nice hotel for Alpe di Siusi, but not for Sella Ronda”

The room was very clean, comfortable bed and nice bathroom. They pay attention to the details as they even leave you a piece of chocolate on the pillow. The view is spectacular, outdoor pool just perfect and breakfast/dinner excellent. Totally recommended experience.

One of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. The view from the room is really "wow"! Even after a week it continued to surprise as the view changes throughout the day with light, clouds over mountains and rain. It was just stunning. Inside the room is spacious, well-appointed and minimalist in design. Just perfect. Dinner was always top with several courses and good selection of vegetarian, fish and meat. One evening was a cheese tasting. Staff were all professional and attentive. I especially appreciated organized hiking excursions and electric car charging. Pool and spa area were super clean and facing incredible views. So relaxing! An incredible vacation break, will definitely come back. Highly recommended!
