Bergwald is a wonderful place. Peacefully quiet but easy to access hiking right from the door and also Alpbach center, with some of the best views in Alpbach. The apartment was very comfortable and updated with everything you could need. Katarina is a warm and welcoming host available for any questions, who welcomes you with a smile and a personal touch. We had the joy of celebrating Christmas with three families in three wonderful apartments at the beautiful and peaceful Bergwald Apartments Alpbach. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. Our host and owner, Katharina, is truly exceptional—her warmth, kindness, attentiveness, and cheerful spirit made our stay feel very special and truly like home. The apartments were spotless and well cared for, and the beds were wonderfully comfortable. On the ground floor, the shared dining area was perfect for our group of twelve and became a lovely place to come together, which added so much to our Christmas experience. The ski storage room with its heated ski boot dryer was a real treat—dry, warm boots the next morning made all the difference. Whether for skiing, hiking, or cycling, we would return without hesitation. We would be delighted to stay again at Bergwald Apartments Alpbach and to be guests of Katharina once more. “Perfect Alpine getaway”

We were absolutely blown away by this beautiful property in the most charming Alpine town. The property was absolutely perfect. We were warmly greeting when we first arrived by Katerina. She was friendly and helpful throughout our entire trip. Her family has lived here for generations and it was wonderful meeting her and getting her recommendations. The apartments are incredibly well designed, comfortable, and spacious. We stayed in Apartment 1 and had the most stunning balcony overlooking the town. The town of Alpach itself is also amazing - incredibly charming. Perfect location for an Alpine adventure. Could not recommend enough. Would love to return!! Thank you Katerina for the most wonderful time!

I can only say wonderful things about our stay at Bergwald. It has been a true pleasure to stay here. The experience was truly exceptional: cozy, spotless, peaceful, comfortable, and set in an unbeatable environment. On top of that, the service was absolutely wonderful and incredibly attentive. Coming back to the hotel after a full day of exploring was a real delight. Every detail reflects great quality, which makes a big difference when it comes to resting well and enjoying the surroundings. If we return, without a doubt we would love to stay here again. We had a fantastic stay! The location is beautiful, set on a peaceful hillside with great views. The place itself is spotless, cozy, and thoughtfully decorated, making it feel like a home away from home. “Cosy stay with the kindest host ever!!”

Cosy, quiet and safe. Beautiful place with a stunning view. You really have time to do anything you like because the environment and the surroundings invites you to do cosy stuff. Time stands still. We played at lot of board games and did a lot of crisscross. The shower and the hand soap is the best shower and soap I have experienced at accommodations like this. The comforter is also sooooo good!!!! Katharina is the sweetest and most caring person. You never doubt how important it is to her that the guests do not lack for anything and feel comfortable. At the same time, she really has the ability to read people's needs and leaves you alone with the note that she is only a text message away. Thank you for the most safe-feeling and cosy stay, Katharina. We will see you another time.

“Wow! What a view!”

Beautiful location. Very peaceful. Gorgeous Austrian chalet with modern amenities such as sauna/relaxation rooms. Our apartment was well equipped and very comfortable with a balcony with a beautiful mountain view. The host is very kind and hospitable and made us feel very welcome.

The apartment was absolutely spotless, Katharina was so helpful. The setting was beautiful, with one of the best restaurants in Alpbach just up the road. The ski bus goes 4 times per day past the property. We can't wait to go back!!

The hostess is an amazing woman, speaking English fluently, very friendly and very willing to make your holiday as good as possible. She responds to the messages instantly and she is there for everything that you may think of.

I really liked our host. She was so welcoming and nice, there were every day small attention, small note that made the day even more amazing. The terrace is huge and perfectly located for the sun and afternoon drinks (!). There is everything available and it is very very clean. We had a wonderful stay
