“Very relaxing. Excellent.”

We were there for the 2nd time (2017 & 2024) The house is excellent and the best value for money we have ever had in the Cyclades. The kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom is good (with washing machine) and the house has 2 terraces. So you can sit in the sun or in the shade, calm or with a cool breeze. As the house is situated above the bay, you have a great view. Of course you have to do something for this: there is a staircase with about 100 steps (these were easy to master in 2017 by our youngest daughter 4 years and in 2024 by me - almost 60 years - even in the heat). A new apartment complex is being built behind the house: the construction work has stopped and there was no construction noise. In addition, many people want to travel and all need accommodation.... There are a few restaurants and a mini-market in the harbor town. The beach is great: there are free parasols. The beach was not crowded at all (July). The island is very quiet and offers plenty of relaxation. This is supported by the house. A contact person is on site and easy to reach even on Sundays. The guests and their concerns are looked after very well.

Raoula collected us from the port. She is a lovely lady looking after things for Vicky. She let us use the apartment all day on the day we were leaving at 5 too! The views are amazing and the kitchen is incredibly well equipped with everything you might need including ice pack for my knee! There were all kind of toiletries, sewing things, books and more. We chatted with Raoula for ages on our last day and she is full of delightful information about the island and is very very helpful. I’m reluctant to praise too much as we want it free for our return as soon as possible!

Sikinos Best View – Best view to the seaside, however, view to the construction site We rented the above-mentioned apartment for 3 weeks from 20.05.-09.06.2022 hoping to spend a relaxing, quiet holiday there. Upon arrival it proved to become different. On the side facing the hill was a big construction site for a multi-apartment holiday complex. As a consequence we had to bear out of 20 days, 9 days of heavy noise, dust and all the negative things which come along with such a site. Activities on the site started already at 7h a.m. We contacted our landlady several times to ask at least for some compensation or maybe additional cleaning, however, she never kept her promises she made and insisted not to be at fault! Moving to another place unfortunately was not an option because of limited availability. Make sure when you book the apartment that the construction site is finished!!!
