Overview
In the centre of Alnwick, this 300-year-old coaching inn is a short walk from Alnwick Castle and Gardens. Its restaurant’s decor was salvaged from the Titanic’s sister ship. Free parking is available. The bedrooms all have a private bathroom with a hairdryer and bathroom amenities. Guests can also enjoy a seating area and tea/coffee making facilities in each room. Some rooms are pet-friendly. The Olympic Suite restaurant offers an à la carte menu and has stained glass windows from the RMS ship. Hardy’s proposes a more informal experience with its bar and bistro menu. The White Swan Hotel is a 40-minute drive from Newcastle and the Metro Centre. Alnmouth Station and the North-East coast are a 10-minute drive away.

“I will most definitely be back.”
The location was perfect, you could see the Castle out of my window. I was there for a festival but wanted to stay local. Huge bed, comfortable bed. Tea and coffee and biscuits there. Bathroom was clean. Really good experience overall.

Arrival and check in was easy with a very nice member of the team. The bedroom was good. With a view of Alnwick castle (just). Parking. Check in time was 14:00.

“A great holiday break!”
The White Swan is set in a lovely town and is a great base to get to several locations! Staff were very friendly and helpful! The breakfast supplied was extremely good with everything you could want, all set in the beautiful "olympic" dining room.

“Perfect location, good parking. Excellent value for money.”
Breakfast was well cooked. Basic choices for other breakfast items but good quality and sufficient. For the price we paid we were pleasantly surprised. Our room although a little small had all that we required. Comfy bed, storage, tea and coffee making facilities and biscuits. En-suite again, excellent value.

“Couples - 3 day break”
Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was ok, but cold most days. Location was good and oarking at th3 rear, if you were lucky to get in early enough, but public parking was also available right behind the hotel for free.
