“Relaxing stay for my Mum's 60th Birthday”

Nice and quiet, relaxing cottage with a beautiful scenery. The cottage is well equipped throughout, so cosy ! We especially loved the hot tub with the little summer house to sit in outside.

“A gem of a cottage - highly recommended”

We had a wonderful stay at the cottage, it was everything we hoped it would be and more. Sarah sent me clear directions to the cottage in advance and easy instructions for the keys. The heating had been on for us too. It was spotless, there was an essentials welcome pack for us, and the log burner was laid ready to light. The location was perfect for us, in the middle of nowhere offering us the peace and quiet we wanted! The hot tub is lovely, and located across the drive past the neighbours home, but once in the gated and fenced garden there is a summer house you can heat, and complete privacy - bar the cow, pheasants, vast array of birds, and hares that may look on, we enjoyed watching them every day. On clear nights the stars are bright and in the mornings the birds are enthusiastically welcoming you to the day. It was pure bliss and a much needed break for us. The bed is comfortable, the en suite shower is lovely, we didn't use the bath or second bedroom. There is plenty wardrobe space and drawers, and having two bathrooms was a bonus. The kitchen has everything in it you may need including a small freezer section in the fridge. There were thoughtful touches throughout - useful information about the area, ideas for walks, a torch and battery lamps, a range of books and DVDs to suit all tastes - all were appreciated. It might be nice to have a pack of cards or some board games to add to the collection, although we had brought our own not expecting these kind of things to be there anyway. The wifi was dropping out (a BT issue) and the owners were in touch with us first to offer to get an engineer out, we declined as we rather enjoyed being off grid, although we appreciated their offer and it was fixed before we left anyway. We were completely at peace here and felt we found a gem of a cottage that we would absolutely love to return to in the future at some point. It is not possible to give anything other than a 10 out of 10! Thank you for everything Sarah !
