Very friendly & a very good location

Room was very big, clean and even on the roadside it was quiet, breakfast was delicious and plenty of choice. Arthur was so helpful and knowledgeable about Alnwick and surrounding areas and the house was a five minute walk away from the town centre.

The property was beautiful, would definitely stay there again, Arthur was so lovely and couldn’t do enough for us. Perfectly placed for be able to walk around the town and to explore the castle and gardens.

Aydon house is just outside the main streets and square of Alnwick and within easy walking distance of these and the castle. The place is well kept / clean and there is off road parking available in a town where parking of any sort is of a premium. Arthur, one of the owners is a gentleman and is keen to ensure all guests are looked after. He simply cannot do enough for you, which for us included serving an earlier breakfast on our first morning and offering the use of the tumble dryer when we came back from the MacMillan mighty hike a little bit wet. The breakfast was good and the stay comfortable.

Aydon House is a beautiful B&B perfectly located for exploring Alnwick. Arthur was a wonderful host, always available to help. The room was spacious, spotlessly clean and comfortable and breakfast was plentiful and made-to-order. I couldn’t imagine a better place to stay.

Room was very good. Teapot and real milk in the room. Comfy bed. Owner gave me access to.a locked garage for my motorcycle. This was very helpful. Breakfast good.

Homely, friendly atmosphere. Thought of everything, bottle of water in the room, milk in a fridge on landing so didnt spoil in the rooms, which also housed extras if you'd run out of in your room. Clean towels & room service every day. Breakfast service, everything you need & more. Large carpark, plus easy walk into town close by.

Aydon House was a comfortable stay offering very clean facilities especially the bedroom. The host- Arthur and his dog Bunny were great fun and a joy to meet. The Lodge is also located within a 3-minute walk to Aldi and the famous Big Book shop. Also within 5 minutes to town centre where one finds all.sorts of eating establishments. We had a great stay and Arthur is very generous with breakfast no doubt.
