“Best guest house”

It was the best guest house we've ever stayed in. Paul and Eleanor were the friendliest and most helpful hosts, they couldn't do enough for you. The whole house was immaculate and had character. It was the perfect base for exploring Northumberland. We will definitely go back.

Lovely room, very clean. Great at breakfast, plentiful and wide variety of choice. Centrally located. The small issue in the bathroom was picked up immediately and sorted.

We had room 4 which had a balcony overlooking the estuary. It was lovely to sit and relax and enjoy the view. Room was spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was continental only but there was plenty of choice and variety. Short walk into town where there were a few places to eat and drink.

Room was lovely, clean and had everything you could want, facilities wise.

The warmest of welcomes on arrival and throughout the stay - so helpful and made sure we had an enjoyable visit! Comfortable room and excellent continental breakfast. Beautiful location! We come back to Alnmouth every year and will definitely book the Westlea again when we return. Can’t recommend highly enough!

I liked everything about Westea especially the staff who gave a lovely welcome and chatted during the breakfast. The room was lovely with a super view of the water. The breakfast just right. On site parking was useful.

Staff were absolutely lovely! Great to chat to and gave great recommendations. The room in the roof has very nice views, and the area itself is picturesque.

“Clean enough but in need of attention to detail and renovation”

The location, room with a terrace. There were lots of radiators in the room and a freestanding one, there was no chance of being cold! Modern bathroom. There was a sideboard in the hall way to replenish the tea and coffee if you wanted to. We decided to leave early in the morning so didn’t stay for breakfast

Good coffee and good self serve breakfast. Excellent location in the village. Free car parking.

Great location, half hour walk from train station. Hosts were very friendly and informative about the area. Room was clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast was plentiful. Tea and coffee facilities in the room. Great view over the estuary and close to beach. Great walking trails nearby.

“Great place to stay”

This was our first visit to Northumberland. The room was very clean and tidy and the staff were always happy to help. The breakfast was plentiful. The bed in room 5 was very comfy. Great location. We would definitely stay again when we are next in Alnmouth.

The location is excellent with great views of the estuary and within a short and easy walk in to the village. The room we had, had a balcony with seating to take in the view and evening sun. Staff were really helpful and allowed us to store our cycles in their garage.
