“Lovely countryside retreat”

Wonderful little property, reasonably priced. Two rooms: open plan kitchen & living room plus a bedroom with a single bed and double bed. The living area had a small sofa and a small arm chair, and an extendable dining table with three chairs. Lots of teabag varieties, jar of biscuits and sugar provided as well as washing up liquid and a clean sponge and cloth. It was well equipped with everything. Steve was very accommodating and friendly and our needs were met. The property is situated within gated grounds with a lovely apple tree and friendly dog and there is a village shop opposite the property with everything you might need. York is very close by. It's a great place to stay and we enjoyed our visit very much!

Stunning cottage. With pretty much everything you could ever need in there. with Oven, microwave, fridge freezer, washing machine! And more. Even books and kids toys were there if you wanted them. And a dvd player with a small selection of dvds. Cutlery, plates, pots, pans etc. Tea, coffee and even some biscuits. Lots of space. We're a family of 4 (kids aged 7 and 12) dining table for all of us. And beds for all of us. Single bed in the bedroom was good and the sofa bed was apparently very comfy. Large bathroom (toilet, sink and shower).

The property was in a great location. The host was amazing. Superb instructions for how to locate the property and incredibly quick to resolve a small issue we had. The beds are a double bed and a single bed in one room. There were extra blankets included in case of cold. The lounge/kitchen/dining area was cosy. The table wouldn't have fitted 3 people, but we didn't eat here so that wasn't an issue.

The property was very clean, it was equipped with everything you needed and more. There was a book with all information you needed, from supermarkets to taxi numbers.

Great location close to both Harrogate and York, village was lovely and peaceful with a great play park 5 minute walk from property for my two young children. House was lovely and clean with everything you need already at the property on arrival. Very family friendly property, lovely little touches like toys available, books etc for the kids made it feel like a home.

This was a very last minute booking. I was met on arrival and warmly welcomed. Great to be able to park on site too. Very cosy stay. Lovely fresh ingredients for dinner from the local shop. Would certainly stay again.

Plenty of space, perfect for a big family, definitely had a comfortable stay! The rooms were very spacious - loved the bath tub by the bed!
