Overview
This historic inn offers great accommodation, excellent food, fine wines and real ales. The rooms and bathrooms at Bowl Inn have recently been refurbished, and all feature a Freeview TV. Situated just 2 minutes from the Aztec West industrial park and the M4/M5 interchange, this secret hideaway nestles on the south-eastern edge of the Severn Vale, in the village of Lower Almondsbury. The Severn Estuary can be seen from the inn. All rooms are en suite and have a unique style.

The staff were all really friendly & professional. The waiting staff, (especially the two young lads) were extremely friendly. The room looked lovely when we first arrived. We enjoyed an evening meal in the restaurant. The bed was firm but very comfortable & then had breakfast the following morning.

“A great overnight stop if travelling North from Cornwall”
The location was perfect for our return trip North from Cornwall to Manchester. The additional facility of a good car park with a powerful EV charging point was brilliant. Loved the views over the Severn Valley towards the bridges. The restaurant facilities and the selection of food, for Dinner and Breakfast, was very good. The staff were, without exception, lovely and very welcoming. We plan to do the same trip again and will certainly use this hotel.

The location was perfect for our trip to Cornwall from Manchester. The additional facility of a good car park with a powerful EV charging point was brilliant. Loved the views over the Severn Valley towards the bridges. The restaurant facilities and the selection of food, for Dinner and Breakfast, was very good. The staff were, without exception, lovely and very welcoming. We plan to do the same trip again and will certainly use this hotel again.

Lovely location - adjacent to church. Great staff - very welcoming, professional. Very characterful - picturesque, nice atmosphere. Parking directly across the road. Dressing table with light, mirror and adjacent sockets is always a winner in my wife's eyes.

The location is in the very pretty village of Almondsbury, close to the M5 and Bristol. We stay here to attend Badminton Horse Trials which is about a 30 minute journey. The pub itself has character and we think the food is fabulous, if a little pricey. We usually stay in the same room which is described as a Signature twin room. It is a nice size, ensuite and the beds are comfortable. The double patio doors open straight onto the public outdoor terrace which is a little difficult if we want some fresh air and we need to get changed. Not a problem though really. Staff lovely, friendly and helpful.

“You forget about the outside world when you walk into the Bowl Inn and immediately relax! Great food”
The Bowl Inn is in the village of Almondsbury being very near the M5 and roads in to Bristol but nicely tucked away so quite peaceful situated on a small lane, It is next to the lovely church and you can walk up the hillside to see the fabulous views over the Severn Valley. The hotel is old and we arrived with a log fire burning so it immediately felt cosy My partner had meetings in the area so it was convenient for him. The staff were very welcoming. Our room was lovely but we had to move to another which the staff effected quickly and efficiently and the second room was also lovely which a view over to the church. Lovely furnishings and comfortable bed with en suite shower. We ate at the inn - I had the trout with beetroot and my partner had the Vietnamese squid salad which was stunning. The chef happened to come into the cosy restaurant and we congratulated him on this - it turned out it was the first day of his new menu so he was very pleased. I had to hang round while my partner went to his meeting and it was a pleasure to peacefully read my book in comfort. A lovely stay
